I could die in 10 years because of my powers. This was a lot to handle.
"Is there any way to prevent her from dying within the next 10 years?" I could hear the sadness in her voice. I couldn't even look at her.
"Yes, if she listens to Ryuu and trains with him."
"Is that all?" Her voice changed not in a good way. Iruka and Himeko looked at each other.
"Lady Himeko and Doctor Iruka you all are just like them aren't you? There is no different from you and the AMPs. All I want to do is do the right thing and protect people who cannot be protected." For the short time being with Yuki he has never sounded like this or said something like this.
"Yuki, we aren't like them. We are the exact opposite of that."
"Neon's right, we can't trust any of you. You keep holding back from the truth because you are afraid of some kids." What are these two idiots doing? Iruka looked like she was going to say something else but Kori stopped her.
"Don't say another word. Let's go guys." Kori said getting up while he was going for the door he put his hand on my shoulder and gave it a squeeze. I looked at him and he had a deadly look on his face. Yuki and Kira followed him to the door.
"Neon?"
"You guys just wait for me outside, okay." I looked at them and they nodded. I had to figure out how to control my powers.
"Neon, we should go home." Home? I didn't know what that exactly was yet.
"No, I'm going to them and that's final. I'm going to learn to control my powers without any of your help. You know none of us can trust any of you." I said getting up walking to the door. "Oh and Iruka I don't plan on dying in 10 years." I said and left the room.
They were there waiting for me. For the first time in a long time there were people who care besides Kira. I want to change and be the person I've always wanted to be. I needed to let go of the past.
"So, what did you say to them?" Kori said worried. I look at all of them.
"That I'm not going to die in the next 10 years because I'm going to become a Mage and all of us are. Before we do that there is something that we need to do more of I need to do." I had to figure out what happened to my parents. I left someone hugging me. I looked to see Kira hugging me.
"So, you finally got sense knock into ya! I miss my sister and my best friend." For the past couple of months I haven't been myself, but I can't let my fears and powers control my mind.
"Neon, your problems are our problem and we need to trust each other and tell each other only the truth." Yuki said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Then we have a lot of talking to do then. You know what those adults deverse the deadly silence from us." Kori said, putting his hand on my other shoulder.
"Yeah." I said. After we pull apart. I saw Kuzu and he waved to him and disappeared. Maybe things aren't as bad as I originally thought.
We were walking to Kori's place on the way to his place. I saw a house that looked similar.
Wait. It was my childhood home before we moved to Oshima.
"Neon is everything okay you stopped dead in your tracks?" Yuki asked.
"Umm...No it isn't. This was my childhood home." Kira put her hand on my shoulder.
"Neon, it's okay. Maybe we should go in? Maybe there is something that you can find to link what happened to your parents." Kira said.
