Chapter 13: Flash of the Future

Once we got to Yuki's apartment. It was just Yuki, Kori, Kira, and I alone. I had to figure out how I was going to tell them about what I had learned. I don't know why I'm nervous. I could feel my hands shaking. I wouldn't doubt that they would believe me. All of this seems so unreal, from Lady Solstice, the Oracle, Yoshihiro, then this organization called Bermuda. I'm barely able to process everything that I have learned just now.

"Earth to Neon!" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Yuki's voice.

"Well, when Kori called me he acted like something serious had happened."

"Kori isn't wrong. There is something that I need to tell all of you. I don't think it's anything good. You know how things have been as of late with me. The dreams, the bruises, Ichijo, to my childhood home, and that shadow figure, well I think I have some answers for most of the things. This might sound crazy, there is a place called the Oracle and then there are these beings called guardians and I met one of them whose name is Lady Solstice. That shadowy figure from the rooftops his name is Yoshihiro he is the leader of this organization called Bermuda. From what Kuzu told me he doesn't have much information on him, nor does the Oracle. All they know is that Yoshihiro's magic or his existence dates back to ancient times. When it comes to my dream some of them might be a vision but I think this Yoshihiro has been astral projecting into my dreams and trying to make contact with me. I also found out that I am the Spirit Maiden, a protector of everything existing or have life. Everything that once lived and every realm there is." The three of them looked at me like they saw a ghost. Maybe this was a bad idea. Then I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. It was Kira's arms around me.

"This is insane I have to admit, but I'm glad you told us. Whatever gonna happen we will be there even with the weird old creepy dude that keeps haunting you."

"Thanks, Kira."

"Neon, this is completely insane! Ancient magic is forbidden to us under no conditions should it be used. The ability of astral projection has been banned due to the effects it could have on the user and the people around them. Yoshihiro, I have never heard of that name. This Lady Solstice of the Oracle I have never heard of such a thing. This Bermuda group sounds dangerous; they must be new or something. I've already heard rumors about Spirit Maiden's existence. I can't believe it. This world is nothing like I was told. I thought Ichijo and the AMPs were bad. If these people are using ancient magic that's really bad." Kori first started rambling, but then quickly turned into fear.

"I know, that's why I wanted to talk to you guys first. I know it's hard to take in. There is no way we can keep this from Himeko and Ryuu." I was hoping none of them were going to oppose me. This is something we couldn't hide from them.

"Well, Neon if you think going to them is a good idea then we should."

"Kira is not wrong. I do agree with you Neon, I don't think this is a problem we can solve ourselves and maybe they know about the Yoshihiro guy." Yuki added.

"Kori, should we go?" I asked. I want to know his opinion. He seemed really worried about this.

"Yes, we should. Since this is something you discovered for yourself you get to decide what we do about it. It really doesn't matter what we say about it, you are going to run off and do something on your own free will." Kori chuckled when saying that. For some reason, I just needed to listen to them.

"Even if I do that, I still need my friends' opinions as a reminder of what I should do, not what I want to do."

"Well, Neon I'm glad to see that you are improving."

"Does that mean our little Neon is growing up?" Yuki ran over to me and wrapped me in his arms. Why does Yuki have to do these things? I sighed.

"Yuki, let Neon go, she isn't your kid." Kori grabbed Yuki by the collar and pried him off of me. I looked over at Kira to see her. She was looking at me.
