(Chapter One)

I was listening to Echo by Jason Walker when I felt the car come to a stop. I looked out the window and saw our new house.

It looked like an old cottage. I love houses like this! I put my phone in my back pocket and got out of the car.

"MOM This house is so cute!!!"

"Well I try." She said as she shrugged her sholiders.

I slowly opened the door and walked inside. I just stood there and looked around.

It was so pretty. It had an old metal chandiler in the foyer, and a spiral stair case leading upstairs right there in the front.

I walked into our new living room and sat down on the floor in the middle of the room.

My mom and my brother Luke soon joined me in the empty room.

"Skylar? Luke?"

We looked at our mom and she held out 2 boxes. One with my name one with Luke's.

"Mom! You didn't!"

"I did!"

I opened my gift and a smile grew on my face.

A Pair of White Ice Skates.

My mom told me there was a small little ice rink in a park down the road. So I grabbed my new white skates and walked down to the rink.

Being the stupid human I am.... I realized, I didn't know how to ice skate. Well, I guess everyone's got to learn somehow.

I laced up the skates and walked over to the ice.

After like 15 minutes of failure I stood up and looked around, and I saw a boy staring at me from a tree like 20 feet away.

I'm one if the few people who don't belive in "Love At First Sight", but now I think I do.

This boy has light brown hair that's kinds swept over his forehead, he has blue eyes from what I can tell and he has giant hipster glasses like me.

I could feel the blush on my cheeks from staring at the boy so long, and the distraction made me soon relise i was on my butt.

I heard the sound of skates on the ice and I turned around to see the boy.

"Never skated before, huh?"

"Nope." The boy grabbed my arm to help me up I could my cheeks heating up.

"Don't worry, its really easy. Have you ever roller skated?"

"Yeah?"

"Just like that. I can help you if you want?"

"Okay.... I'm Skylar by the way." I stuck out my hand.

"I'm Tyler ....Nice to meet you Skylar." He said as he took my hand and shook it.

Tyler's a really nice kid. Or person. Whatever, anyways he told me he would help he learn my way around town tomorrow.

EEK! I mean this would be better if I had any friends. Maybe this move will be good!
