[Name]'s POV
'Where's my body.' I frown while looking around the underwater area for myself.
I spot a golden strand coming up from the sand, and I move towards it to find my body, reconnecting my soul with my physical self. My vision turns black for a few seconds before I wake up in the real world. I groan as I lie on the street outside the distro center before slowly pushing myself up.
Sam pukes our tar from beside me before getting onto his feet. "So, what do we do now?" I murmur while looking around the place.
Our cuffs make a sound, signaling a call, and Die-Hardman starts to speak, "Dammit! Higgs took her to the Beach! We can't let 'em get away! There has to be a way you two can catch up to 'em. Hurry, Sam, Slayer. You know what's at stake. If you two don't stop Higgs, he'll use Amelie to bring about this DOOMs-day of his, and everything we achieved will be for nothing."
The call ends, and I look at Sam before sighing. "Let's head to our private rooms and clean ourselves up. I'll meet you in your room afterward," I state, and he nods before we walk back towards the distro center.
~one hour later~
"So how do we go after Higgs?" Sam grunts from where he sits on the edge of his bed while I pace back and forth.
"It's pretty simple: we access the Beach," I murmur and rub my chin. "My guess is he'll be on Amelie's Beach, so that's where we need to go."
Fragile suddenly teleports into the room, and Sam stands up while I stop pacing. She strides over to us with a neutral expression, stopping once she's right in front of us.
"Higgs wants to connect the knots of your network with Amelie's Beach. So it's pretty clear where they went," she states, and Sam looks at her.
"So, how do we get there?"
"I can't. But you and Amelie have a strong connection, Sam. You've been to her Beach plenty of times, right?" she asks him, and he nods. "You can make the jump."
Sam walks past her and starts heading towards Lou and his suit. "You gonna come through for me?" Fragile questions, causing him to stop walking.
"I'll try to take him alive," he tells her, and I frown while looking down.
'I can't let my feelings get in the way here.' I chew on my bottom lip, spacing out as Fragile and Sam talk a bit more.
"[Name]." Fragile snaps me out of my thoughts, and I look at her.
"Sorry, spaced out," I whisper, and she frowns.
"Are you sure you can do this?"
"I'm gonna try. There's no risk of me joining Higgs though... I'm just going to try and not let how I feel get in the way."
"You're able to get to Amelie's Beach, right?" Sam asks me, and I nod.
"Yeah. I'm guessing Fragile is sending you to her. I'll leave at the same time as you," I tell him before turning to Fragile. "How are you getting to us?"
"The miçanga," she whispers, pointing at the ID bracelets on mine and Sam's wrist.
'I see...' I nod as Sam slips his off and hands it to her.
She clasps it on her wrist while Sam grabs his suit and slides it over his other clothes. He pulls on his boots and adjusts his outfit before facing Fragile.
"You're going in like that?" she asks him.
"Yeah, I don't need a weapon. I'm not gonna take Lou either," he responds, gesturing to the BB in its pod.
