An AU where childhood best friends Sharlene and Justin separate, only to meet again years later. Except this time, one is a Boy Idol and the other is an Actress.

Warning! Medjo OOC sila dito sorry 😂

"Magkikita pa ba tayo ulit, Tintin?"
"Oo naman! Hahanapin kita, promise!"
"Pinky promise?"
"Pinky promise!"

Those were the last words she remembered from him. She no longer knew who Tintin was. All she knew were his eyes - they were slanted. Chinito, in the Filipino term.

In hopes of reuniting with her childhood friend, she began telling the world her type was someone with the same eyes. As time passed, she forgot who she was looking for. But she stayed consistent, her heart searching for him even if her mind forgot.

Sharlene San Pedro was looking for her friend. She was looking for the only one to ever call her Shasha instead of Sharlene. She was, unbeknownst to her, looking for Justin De Dios. Her beloved Tintin.

She was scrolling through twitter when she saw it, a new P-Pop Boygroup. SB19, huh? Sharlene decided to check them out, and was amazed by their skills and their music.

Somehow, she was first drawn to the tanned boy with the poker face. And then her eyes flitted over to tallest one, with the gummy smile and the slanted eyes. It stayed there, for the rest of the video. She hunted for information, impressed and moved by their stories.

But she dismissed it. She was busy, she didn't have time to fangirl for too much.
Suddenly she caught wind of something. People were teasing her, left and right.

"Sanaol Sharlene San Pedro," was a common phrase. Curious, she looked for information once more. Justin had a crush on her. And he was very vocal.

Of all the boys to ever be linked to her, he was the bravest. That includes even Jairus Aquino, who never really told her his intentions properly. The name brought back some bitterness, and she immediately went offline.

If someone asked her, "Kinilig ka noh?" she would deny it vehemently. "Ni hindi ko nga siya kilala!"
That was a lie. She felt something. A semblance of familiarity, a feeling of warmth. It was like looking at the face of home, when she looked at him.

She dismissed it, completely intent on focusing on herself and her studies. But... Justin was persistent enough to be noticed.
Myx, TWBA, Inquirer, Push, everywhere. Anytime he was asked, her name would fall from his lips. And everytime it happened, warmth would bloom from her heart and make her smile, before she pushed it back and focused once more.

Why? Why was he any different? She looked in the eyes of so many other people, but his eyes... She pushed it away, reluctant to admit she had a crush on him.

And then came the day they first met. It was on iWant ASAP, and she had been the host and he the performer. They were even better live. Their charisma, skills, and passion were overflowing. The whole time she was watching, she was looking at him. Justin. The stranger who felt like home.

When their eyes met, her heart beat went faster. He was taller than she was, and his smile was even brighter in real life. She pretended not to see it when he glanced at her, pretended not to notice him stare. She pretended that she didn't see the same spark of familiarity she felt in his eyes.

Once work was over she went to the dressing room and found an envelope.

"I found you," the letter said. "After all these years nakita rin kita ulit, Shasha. I missed you."

And the memories came rushing back, all because of a single nickname.
His gentle eyes, his bright smile, his jokes and his wit. Sharlene smiled. "Kaya pala... Kaya pala pamilyar ka, Justin. Namiss kita, Tin. Sobra..."

She read the rest of the letter, and found a small pendant charm inside the envelope. It was the half of a heart, the missing half of her own pendant. There was also a picture, faded with time but well-taken care of.

"To my one and only Shasha/Sharlene,

Hey. Nangako akong hahanapin kita, and I did. I will support you, like I promised you back then.

I found you. After all these years, nakita rin kita, Shasha. I missed you.

With love,
Justin De Dios.

Ps. Totoo na may crush ako sayo. Simula la nung una, ikaw na ang gusto ko. Kahit six years old lang tayo noon, alam kong ikaw na ang crush ko. Wag ka magalala, di ko ipu-pursue, hindi rin naman pwede. Basta I'll always be your number two fan. Syempre ang una si Tita! Hahahah."
