The next morning, Namjoon's alarm jarred both him and Miki awake. She groggily moved closer to him while keeping her eyes closed. Namjoon gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and started to get up. Miki held firm so he wouldn't leave. Namjoon rolled so that she was lying on top of him. Miki sleepily propped her head on her hands that were resting on his chest.
"Joonie, it's still dark outside. What could you possibly need to do at this time?"
Namjoon brushed the hair off her face and tucked it behind her ear. He gave her a smile and said, "Morning sleepyhead. I wish I could stay in bed with you all day, but tomorrow is the big day to get Mark, remember? It's going to be busy today and I want to get started."
At the mention of the plan, Miki lost her sleep. She sobered and said, "Right. Joonie, you'll be careful, right? And you'll make sure the others are ok?"
Namjoon saw the fear in her eyes and instantly felt guilty. "Baby, everything is going to be fine. This will all be over tomorrow." He grabbed Miki by the shoulders and hauled her up so that they were face to face and gave her a quick peck on the lips before bringing her close for a hug.
She enjoyed the intimate hug for a few minutes before reluctantly getting up from the bed. She eyed her discarded dress on the floor and groaned at the thought of zipping herself back into it.
"Just wear my shirt. It's only a short walk to your room and there'll be no one around."
Miki looked down at the shirt. It came up to the tops of her thighs so it was short, but it covered everything that needed to be covered. Plus, she really wanted to keep his shirt. It was comfy and it smelled like Namjoon.
"Come on, I'll walk you to your room."
"Don't be silly. It's literally a minute away."
"I'm a gentleman. I can't let you do the walk of shame alone."
Miki playfully punched him on the arm for his teasing. But they held hands as they left his room and headed for hers. The house was dark and quiet, so they quietly padded along in their bare feet. Namjoon was still just wearing his boxers.
As they walked past the kitchen though, they passed all 6 boys who were drinking water, dressed in their exercise gear. Miki was the first to saw them and let out a surprised yelp. Namjoon quickly reacted and pulled Miki to stand behind him, covering her from the boys' view as she pulled the shirt down as much as she could.
"Nothing to see here boys. What are you guys all doing up so early?" Namjoon said, as casually as he could, while he held out both arms behind him to cover Miki.
"Morning Noona!" Jungkook said cheerfully.
Miki raised her arm to her side to give him a little wave. Everyone grinned in response.
"I guess you didn't see the messages in our group chat. We thought it would be good to have a workout this morning to let out some steam for tomorrow. Guessing by what we're seeing though, maybe you've already had your work out, Joonie." Jin teased with a laugh.
Miki rested her head on Namjoon's back in embarrassment. He grinned and said, "Give me 10 minutes. I'll see you guys at the gym."
Namjoon then walked sideways, with Miki tagging along behind him, until they were out of sight of the boys. When they got inside her room, Miki couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing against Namjoon.
He breathed a sigh of relief. "So you're not mad?"
Miki was laughing so hard, she could barely get her words out. "Why would I be mad? I'm so embarrassed though. Lucky I shaved my legs yesterday."
