Chapter 1 : the beginning

- PLEASE DON'T HURT THEM!!
I shouted, but the two men in front of me were already grabbing both of my parents by the neck and I didn't know what to do
-TAKE ME INSTEAD PLEASE!-
I said but instead of letting them go they started laughing, it was a malevolent laugh, right after that they both took a gun out of their pockets and pointed at my parents
-NO PLEASE NO!-
I cried
-honey, look away-
My dad said
-I'm so sorry -
I said almost unable to speak
-we love you, Alana-
My mom said this time and then started crying.
-I love you too-
I cried and closed my eyes, then I heard the gunshots
-NO!!!
I shouted at the top of my lungs
-ALANA, ALANA, honey wake up!
I opened my eyes, HOLY CRAP it was all a dream but it felt so real. Anyway, I checked the time and...                        HOLY SHIT IT'S 8: 50
I only have  15 until the bus arrives here
SHIT, I immediately got out of bed and I went straight to the bathroom, thank god I showered last night, I brushed my teeth  as fast as I could and I got dressed, I decided to wear ripped blue jeans and a white crop top with an oversized red hoodie on top, then I put my vans on and I went running down the stair straight to the kitchen to grab my bag and say goodbye to my parents
-good morning mum, good morning dad
I said and I peck them both on the cheek
-hi darling, good morning
Answer my dad
- What do you want for breakfast Al
Said, my mum
-nothing mum, I'm late, I'll just grab an apple
Right after saying that I hear the bus stopping at my door, so I grabbed my apple and my bag and rushed to the door
-BYE LOVE YOU
I shouted and I closed the door.
I got onto the bus and said hi to the driver
-ALANA OVER HERE-
I recognized that voice right away, it was my best friend Savannah.
To give you a little background story
She moved here 6 years ago and we became best friends instantly, she's my support with everything of course with Caitlin, Hannah and Chris my boyfriend.
Anyway, I sat next to her and behind us were Caitlin and Hannah sitting
- Have you heard about the new boy?
Asked Caitlin
-Josh, his name is josh, he's in my history class
I answered
- I heard he got expelled from his old school-
Added Savannah
-he's so hot-
- Hannah, you can't just like every boy you see-
I said
-it's not my fault-
She answered
At that moment the bus stopped and we got up from our seats, I started walking towards the bus door to get out but I felt my pocket vibrate so I checked it and it was a message from my mum.
The message said; [Hi Al, me and your dad have a meeting tonight so I left you some food on the oven
See you tomorrow;) ]
This is the third meet they have this week but I get it their working on their new project and it's very important for them.
I wasn't paying attention to what was in front of me until I hit something.
-I'm so sorry, I didn't see you-
I said and I looked up, SHIT it was Josh
-don't worry, I wasn't paying attention either -
He answered
-see you in class-
I said and I started to walk up to where my friends were standing.
We talked for a little bit until the bell rang which meant we had to go to class,
I had history as my first period and I really wanted to skip that class but I needed the credits for my college applications.
I entered the classroom with Savannah since we were the only ones from the group who had history as first period
And of course, we sat together.
-I really hate this class-
Said Sav
-yeah me too-
I answered.
Five minutes later the teacher came into classrooms and the class started, we were doing a project about the Holocaust and don't get me wrong I really liked the topic but I was just not in the mood.
We were looking for the answer to the last question when the bell rang.
-THANK GOD-
I almost shouted
-dude chill, we still have 3 more classes -
Said Savannah
-let me be-
I answered and we started walking to the cafeteria.
Once we got there we sat on a table with the rest of the girls and we talked about our classes.
We were now laughing at a joke that Hannah made when suddenly.....
