They had to walk for at least another 15 minutes before they reached the military property. Bokuto and Kuroo were still walking ahead and quicken their pace with every tree that they passed by.

"You know guys, I'm pretty sure good old kenma back home would love this place, it's quite, and no other people are around."
Kuroo smiled.
He looked sentimental.

"Kenma storys again? You truly are a proud big brother!" Bokuto laughed and slapped the taller male one the back. Unfortunately it was a bit too forcefully, since Kuroo lost his balance and stumbled over. He gladly managed to catch himself in the right moment before he could fall over completely. He straightened his posture and shot his friend a glare.

"Y-yeah big brother, he's a childhood friend, dumbass" the statement left Bokuto in confusion.
"You're not related ? But you always look out for him and he is always hanging around, I really thought he's your baby brother.
Why else would you bother, I mean maybe he's just using you as a personal bodyguard, from what you told me, he's too weak to defend himself" Bokuto shrugged, his words were meant as a statement but they sounded like a question, either way they got Kuroo mad.

"I don't know, maybe I am protecting him because not everyone is strong enough to fight for themselves! Did you ever thought about that? Never dare question my best friend again"
Kuroo snapped. Bokuto looked hurt by his words since he claimed himself to be Kuroos best friend.

"Okay, okay guys calm down" Daichis words chimed in before the situation could escalate.
"How long till we reach the base?" he asked.

Thinking about an answer for the question seamed to calm Kuroo down, at least a little .
"Since we were walking a lot and also fast while talking-"
He stopped his words and looked down onto his pocket watch.
"maybe five more minutes, by then we should be there" he answered.

"Awesome!" Daichi and Bokuto exclaimed happely in union.

Kuroo wanted to stay mad but he couldn't, seeing his friends so happy meant everything to him and soon a smile was creeping onto his face.

Daichi thought that he would never understand these two chaotic men. What was it that was going on in their minds, one moment they were fighting and in a blink of an eye the mood could completely take a turn and they would be laughing together or about one another. They were like fire and ice and on the other hand they completed each other. There were times when Daichi found himself thinking that they did act like the exact same person. Both of them were idiots but at the same time incredibly smart. Maybe that was it what it meant to be best friends, to stick together and overlook flaws and mistakes. What ever it was Daichi Sawamura wished he would find someone to share this feeling with himself.

"Doooo you see that!!!" Bokuto shouted and pointed at a massive stone wall that was slowly coming into view. It was impressive, the wall was at least 15 meters high on top of it where wires, but what stunned the boys the most was when they finally reached the end of the forest, the wall was no longer covered by tree branches. They were looking to their left and to their right but no matter how hard they tried, the couldn't see the end of it.

"This must be the hugest basis in the universe, I can't even see far enough ahead to figure out were it begins and ends, this is just... " Kuroo started.
"Amazing" Bokuto finished.
"incredible" Daichi added the other two nodded in agreement and Daichi started to walk along the wall in the meantime.

"Oi, Sawamura where are you going?"
Kuroo called out.

The young soldier turned around
"There is some spot in the wall that looks darker, it might be a shadow from an entrance" he explained before he keept on walking.

Kuroo only turned his head to his best friend, not believing Sawamura's words.
"not possible that he will find the entrance over there, Tsukki told me it's found in the other direction."
He said with the same smug look on his face, that he was often wearing.

"I found it, Guys it's over here!" Daichi called out towards them, he stood a few meters ahead and was waving his hand towards the others.

Bokuto once again had a hard time not to laugh. He really wanted to make a clever remark about Tsukishima not liking Kuroo but before he could even think about a single word. Kuroo already lifted his hand.
"Don't even say it"
He mumble and and walked past the older man towards Sawamura.
Bokuto followed with a chuckle.

They stood in front of a small metal door, which was obviously not the main entrance.

"You sure this is the right door?"
Bokuto questioned.

"Yeah Sawamura is right, we have to go through this door, it's kinda of a back-door and an escape route."
Kuroo said answering the question.

"Well than" Daichi said and took a step forward after breathing in heavily. He lifted his hand and knocked on the door.

First it was silent and the three teens thought that the knocking might have been overhead, but the door let out a metallic 'klick' after a few more seconds of waiting.

A pair of eyes were staring at them through a gap in the door.
"What'd ya want" the question was damped by the door but still audibly.

"I'm Daichi Sawamura, that's Kuroo Tetsurou and this is Kōtarō Bokuto"
The youngest announced.

"What'd ya want?" the man behind the bar repeated.

Daichi felt uneasy but he didn't let it show.
He needed to make a strong appearance.
"We are listed to get stationed in this basis, before we're get send off to serve in the field!"
He explained with fake self-confidence.

"ver- well, where ya from"
The man asked annoyed.

"We're send from Ukais trainings camp."
Kuroo chimed in.

"Ukai, the admirals grand son?"
The man behind the door asked louder, his words were now easier to understand.

"Yes!" Bokuto said proudly even though he had no clue what was going on, nor did he know if Ukai even had any relatives especially a grandfather.

The gap in the door was closed shut immediately.
Leaving the three boys dumbforced behind the closed door.
