Bellatrix sat staring at the flickering flames in the fire. He'd returned, that voice in her head, the voice who manipulated her, taunted her, scared her. Told her things she didn't want to know, force her to see things she didn't want to see. He was back, and she cried. She cried out of pain both mentally and physically. He liked to torture her when she disagreed with him.
It was one of his favourite hobbies, always had been, though he'd never cause her any serious harm, just enough to make her scream out in pain, but nothing to serious to kill her. Oh no he wanted her alive, she was very useful to him, and he's been after her ever since he laid eyes on her, and he almost had her.Bellatrix drank two bottles of whiskey and sat in front of her fireplace with a tear stained face.
She needs to block him, needs to be stronger, she cannot let him win. Weakness is not acceptable.Bellatrix sat there, her eyes transfixed on the flickering flames of red and yellow.
Bellatrix often found herself staring into the fire, she did so enjoy watching her fire burn.
It always did fascinate her, probably why she was so eager to learn fiendfyre when she was younger. Of course she mastered it, she had to, she was determined.Bellatrix reaches her hand out towards the fire, she could feel the heat of the flames against her skin, the flame flickers just below her hand, slowly she began to lower it to the flame, that was until a knock to her door caught her attention.
Her head snaps to the direction of the door, then panic took over. No one can see her like this! A mess! A weak crying mess!
No absolutely not. The woman quickly got to her feet, stumbling backwards but luckily her back hit the the wall and not the floor. She inhales, her eyes falling to the bottles on the floor, a quick wave of her wand and the bottles vanished, another wave of her wand and she no longer looked a depressed mess, but a presentable teacher. She inhales and did her best to walk straight to the door, without falling flat on her backside.
Who could possibly be knocking on her chamber door at, Bellatrix reaches for the watch in her pocket, 6:45. Who'd be knocking her door this late in the evening, obviously not Minerva because she'd have knocked then walked straight in.Bellatrix opens the door to see
"Sybil?" Bellatrix furrows her brows, then her eyes widen, suddenly not as drunk as she was a few moments ago.
"Has she hurt you? Upset you? Threatened you?" Bellatrix began as she pulled the girl inside and slammed the door. She dragged Sybil into her kitchen and sat her down.
"Where's my dagger." Bellatrix snaps as she rummages through the draw.
"Damn her, she's taken it." Bellatrix snaps knowing full well Minerva had took it, probably why she insisted on making the tea last night.
"No, p-please...B-B... Bellatrix." Sybil stutters catching the ravenette's attention. Bellatrix stopped rummaging and looked at the girl. She sighs.
"What's the matter love." Bellatrix poured herself some water and downed it, then puts the kettle on."N-nothing, I - I just wanted to see you... are you alright?" Sybil watches her, she knew Bellatrix had been drinking, she also knew that Bellatrix shouldn't be drinking. And she was worried, she didn't want to grass Bellatrix up to Minerva but she knew it wasn't healthy for the girl, she really didn't want to see her go down hill again.
Bellatrix narrows her eyes suspiciously at the woman.
"Yes...why?"
"Just, just asking." Sybil smiles, fiddling with her many rings.
"Right." Bellatrix archers her brow.
"D-D-Dolores is, is here for a while and going, going to be inspecting our, our teaching." Sybil watches her as the girl made them both tea.
"I know, Minnie informed me." Bellatrix places the two mugs on the table.Bellatrix watches the woman who fidgets with the many rings on her fingers.
Bellatrix reaches over placing her hand on top of Sybil's, stopping them from fidgeting.
Sybil looks at her.
"Don't worry love, she can't hurt you. Minerva will go all mama bear on her, you know that." Bellatrix smiles squeezing her hand.
Sybil smiles, laughing slightly at the protective older woman.
"And besides if that doesn't scare her, she'll have me to deal with."
That made Sybil laugh, earning a smile from Bellatrix.
"See that's much better, look at that smile."
"I, p-pity anyone who has to deal with Minerva, but you, you're, you're a whole different kettle of fish." Sybil chuckles.
"Oh I'm not that bad." Bellatrix smirks.
"The students are, are you afraid to fail your class just in case you kill them." Sybil Half smiles.
"Good, means I'm doing my job
"By terrifying them?"
"No, by making sure they all pass. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind."
"I'm not sure that's how it works..."
"Well clearly it does my little lamb, no one's ever failed my class." Bellatrix grins evilly, then wriggles her eyebrows at the woman, who laughs.
