Bellatrix was very much tipsy, It was 12 at night and another sleepless night came so she drank, not enough to be absolutely hammered, but enough to become tipsy.
She sat on the floor in front of the fire just staring at it, watching the flickering flames.
They were fascinating, even if she couldn't see them all that well.
She giggles at nothing, her giggles became loud laughter, she collapses back onto the floor in a fit of laughter over nothing in particular.
She stares at the ceiling, the patterns in the roof were spinning, she laughed even more.
"I hate you!" She snapped finally sitting up, throwing an empty bottle into the fire. It roared and spat little sparks of flame, one landing on the woman's hand, she watched as the tiny speck burned her skin a little then died out. She sighs, she's bored.

Bellatrix stood up, after almost falling over, grabbed her cloak and left. She silences her shoes, this not being the first time she's been drinking and planning on going for a midnight walk, in the forbidden forest. She manages to stay as quiet as possible, as she made her way down the many, many halls of Hogwarts. She needed to leave, needed some fresh air.

She stopped dead in her tracks, she heard something, someone was there, though Bellatrix may be tipsy, doesn't mean she had completely lost her senses. She walked further along the hallway, aware she was being followed. She rounded the corner and disappeared. She could feel them coming closer, they rounded the corner, they wore jeans, trainers and a pink hoodie.
She ever so quietly comes up behind the person who clearly looked confused at the woman's disappearance.
"Looking for me?" Bellatrix whispered huskily, knowing who the person was.
They gasp turning around.
"Following me Granger, really?" Bellatrix steps closer.
"Is that a hobby of yours now? watching me in class isn't enough for you, you find the need to follow me too. Some would consider that stalking." Bellatrix took another step towards the girl.
"Just exactly what were you doing up, this late?" Bellatrix arches her brow.
"I-I might ask you the same thing." Hermione looks at the woman. She tried hard to stop herself from apologising. She's fed up of the woman seeing her as weak and baby like.
Bellatrix chuckles.
"I'm the professor here Granger." Bellatrix folds her arms.
"Fine, I went to the library. Now it's your turn." Hermione also folds her arms.
Bellatrix chuckles.
"What, no pathetic apology?" Bellatrix arches her brow.
Hermione remains silent, arms still folded, eyes glaring at her Professor.
"Fine, if you must know I'm going for a walk, care to join?" Bellatrix smirks, knowing the girl would never have the guts to accept that offer.

Hermione was about to decline but then stopped herself, that's exactly what the woman wanted, for her to chicken out, to prove her point that Hermione Granger is the little baby Bellatrix believes her to be.
"Alright." Hermione smiles, Bellatrix was slightly taken back, that's not what she was expecting.
"Keep up, I don't like to wait." And with that Bellatrix left, Hermione mentally cursed herself. What the hell has she gotten herself into?! This was so stupid of her!! She didn't even know where they were going, what if she died? What if the woman brought her out here to kill her?!

"What's the matter? Scared are we?" Bellatrix looks to the girl, who laughs, more out of nervousness than mockery.
"No." Almost, she almost stuttered but she didn't!
"Good." Bellatrix carries on walking, Hermione quickens her pace, to catch upto the woman.
Considering Hermione was taller than her, and she wore heels she was a pretty fast walker.
Hermione had no idea where the woman was taking her, and she daren't ask.

It was a while later and they wound up at an edge of a cliff, Hermione had no idea where. The stars were bright though, and you could see the reflection of the moon on the ocean. The sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks brought peace to the girl. Hermione forgets about the situation she's in for a moment and smiles, inhaling the fresh salty air.
Bellatrix looks at the girl then smiles, she turns her attention back to the ocean. The wind blew in their hair, swirling it around in all directions. Hermione looks to the older woman who had her eyes closed, and in that moment, in that moonlight she looked more beautiful than Hermione could ever imagine, for once she looked at peace.
"Beautiful isn't it?" The woman looks to Hermione.
"Very." Hermione responds
"And not just the view." Hermione's eyes widen as she realises she said it out loud, she wasn't supposed to say it out loud, damn it!!

That caught Bellatrix off guard, she looks away, but Hermione could of sworn she saw the woman blush.
"I don't usually bring people here, especially students. So I'd appreciate it if you didn't share it with anyone." The woman said, Hermione just stares at her, this has got to be the most decent conversation the woman has ever had with her.
"I won't tell a soul." Hermione smiles.
She turns her attention back to the ocean, enjoying the scenery, the feeling, and the company.

"Dolores is here, and not just for a few days this time." Minerva walks directly into Bellatrix's classroom without even knocking.
Bellatrix just stares at the woman.
"And now my day is ruined." Bellatrix waves her hand and the door slams shut.
"You're telling me." Minerva scoffs, taking a seat on the desk.
"She's in with Dumbledore this very minute, I figured I'd come and give you a heads up."
"Out of everyone, why her?!" Bellatrix growls slamming her head against the table.
"Bellatrix stop it! You'll hurt yourself." Minerva scolds the girl.
Bellatrix rolls her eyes.
"Don't you roll your eyes at me young lady." Minerva folds her arms, earning a chuckle from Bellatrix. Minerva's frown soon fades into a smile upon hearing the girl.
