a/n: So I wanted to start this short series by creating my own superhero and have her in the mix and create a love interest for Peter (obviously lol). I had wrote this whole thing using the hero name that I (thought) made up, which was Storm. Completely forgetting that there is already a Marvel character named Storm; in the X-Men I believe. These characters aren't the same, though they may have some similar aspects, my character isn't based on her. And I couldn't really think of another name so forgive me and please enjoy :)

THIS CHAPTER IS BASED ON CAPTIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR SO IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT YOU'LL PROBABLY BE CONFUSED.

Back story: Callie, AKA Storm, is a 15 year old girl, born a human but has the superpowers of electricity/lightning. She was born and raised in Brooklyn with her mother. She obtained her powers by being struck by two different lightning bolts at the exact same time. She would have been dead if Captain America hadn't saved her.

"On your right!" Steve yelled. Callie was quick and shot her powers at the dummy. She was also smart and knew it was a test, figuring out that something wasn't right and shot lightening to her left where another dummy was. She had been training with Steve for about an hour.

Steve and Mr. Stark walked into the training grounds that Mr. Stark had created specific for her powers. So she could learn and control them. Steve clapped loudly with a proud smile on his face.

"Did I pass?" She asked excitedly.

"You did well, kid," Tony complemented. "How's the suit?"

Tony had made her body armor that could accustom her powers, he also made her a mask because her identity was something she liked to keep secret. She had done well at keeping it to herself. Steve and Tony being two of the few who knew her real name. Not even any of the other Avengers knew her true identity.

"I love it. Wish I could fly though," she laughed.

"One day, kid," Tony couldn't help but smile as he walked out of the training room.

"So? Did I pass? Can I come on the mission?" She asked Steve.

Steve sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. She knew just by the look on his face that they weren't going to let her.

"Why not?" She whined.

"You're not ready. I don't want you to get hurt."

"I am ready, Cap. You've seen me fight, I've been training with Natasha. Mr. Stark has helped me with my powers." She followed him out of the room. Sam was waiting outside for him.

"Wheels up in 30," Sam told Steve.

"I'll be right there." Steve told him before turning back to Callie. "I'm sorry, but not this time. Too much is at stake and I can't have you get hurt on my watch. I'll call you a car, tell your mother I said hello." Steve pulled her into a quick hug before parting ways.

Callie followed her orders and packed her things up and went home to 'study'. She was really just trying to pass time till she heard back from Cap so he could tell her about the mission.

*One Month Later*

Callie stumbled in through her front door, almost dropping all of the books in her hands. "Mama! You home?"

"In here, sweetheart." She heard her mother call out from the living room. "You have a visitor."

Callie dropped her school work and book bag onto the table and walked into the living room. She peered around the corner curiously. She was shocked when she saw Clint sitting on the couch with her mother.
