Kairi placed her diamond necklace upon her neck and smiled at herself in the mirror. She took a few pictures but decided to keep them for herself. Everyone following her on instagram and twitter were going crazy and she wanted to make them wait longer.
Tonight was the opening of Kai Extensions in Harlem. This had the be the biggest opening she had, the building was even bigger. Mama always said "Go big or Go home".
Kendra walked into the foyer, already searching for Kairi. Kairi was still in the same spot that she had left her in, at the mirror wasting time. Kendra decided to wear an white, one-off the shoulder dress with one long sleeve, knee length & knitted. Her white and gold heels complimented the dress along with her gold and diamond jewelry. On the other hand, Kairi had a short thigh length, long sleeved, Turquoise silk button down dress. Her feet held a pair of all black leather, red bottoms while her natural hair was slicked into a nice ponytail along with her slicked edges. This opening was everything for the success of her company, so she had to dress the par.
"Are you ready to go boo? The driver is outside." Kendra spoke from behind Kairi
Kairi smiled brightly as her body began to get warm with excitement. "Yes. I'm so happy. I just wanna cry Ken" She fanned her face as she felt tears welling in her eyes.
"Aw boo! Don't cry. You deserve all of this, and more." Kendra walked over to embrace Kairi into a hug. "Plus, I spent too damn much time on your makeup. Don't make me fuck you up, over here crying and shit" Kendra reached over to grab two tissues from the shelf and handed them to Kairi.
Kairi smiled as she took the tissues and cleared up her eyes. She checked in the mirror to make sure she was good then turned to Kendra.
"Let's do this" Kairi said with a small squeal. Today was her day!
