-Cat above is Gooseneedle.-

The four tall leaders gathered atop the Great Rock, their pelts bristling in the frigid weather. Each of the leaders nodded to each other in a fair greeting, one letting out a mrrow of amusement, then they turned their gaze to the swarming cats below. The pale moonlight highlighted each and every cat's pelt, sleek or bushy, and illuminated their eyes as they socialized with one another. The four leaders noticed some cats giving off a few glares at one another, as one wrinkled his nose in disgust.

"These cats don't understand what a Gathering is supposed to hold," one of the leaders murmured to the others on the Great Rock, "you're supposed to get along with the other Clan cats."

"Agreed, Lionstar, they should at least cooperate with each other. They could even hate each other without realizing they know nothing about one another," a dark brown she-cat growled in a response.

A dark gray tom with a dark ginger tail cleared his throat, hoisting himself up to his paws. His slim tail held high as his lithe frame was illuminated in the very pale, but silver, moonlight. He stepped up to the ridge of the Great Rock. He then let out a stern yowl. "Allow the Gathering to begin!"

The swarming cats below, just like bees, swiveled in the leaders' direction as they sat on the Great Rock. They all then took a seat in unison, the snow burying their paws, as some cats murmured to others while Hollowstar tapped his paw on the Great Rock.

"Riverclan's food stock has been low this leaf-bare, especially since the river has frozen and we can't really get into the water to catch fish, and even if we could, no fish seem to be available," the dark gray leader meowed, "but, on the bright side, we do have a couple new warriors and a new apprentice; Tallstorm, Snowdrop, and Morningpaw."

The two newly made warriors sat with a straight posture of pride and arrogance as their Clanmates chanted their name. But with the new apprentice, however, she tried to avoid any attention, as if she had been shy, so she made an attempt to hide in the large pool of cats.

"Tallstorm! Snowdrop! Morningpaw!" the Riverclan cats chanted.

The leader of Windclan had spotted one of her warriors roll their amber eyes, stifling a low, but light, growl. She glared down at him, seizing his attention. Her glare was let off as a warning for the warrior, as the tabby shuffled his paws. The Windclan leader's gaze then focused down onto the new warriors and apprentice of Riverclan. She gave them a nod of approval.

"Lionstar, would you like to go next?" the dark gray tom, or the Riverclan leader, meowed as he turned his head to the Thunderclan leader.

"Certianly, Hollowstar," Lionstar purred, stepping up onto the ridge of the Great Rock. The Riverclan leader then backed away from the ledge and next to the other leaders. "Thunderclan has been running low on prey, just like Riverclan, this leaf-bare. We haven't been getting many squirrels or mice because of the cold."

"Rat-chasers," a Riverclan warrior sneered quietly with an eyeroll.

"Fish-face," the Thunderclan medicine cat, who had been placed right next to the commenting Riverclan warrior, coughed into their ear.

The two began to silently bicker before a massive tom amongst their forepaws turned his head to them over his shoulder. "Both of you hush your muzzles before I rip off one of your whiskers." His tone was filled with a snarl. The two cats didn't dare to take a chance to argue with the massive warrior, so they clamped their muzzles shut.

Lionstar let out a mild sigh. "And I say with grief, Thunderclan's deputy, Willowsky, must retire to the elder's den. We had been recently attacked by dogs, resulting in her losing most of her tail, and that causes her balancing levels to be low." A stub had been revealed by the now retired deputy as she shuffled her position. "Mintstrike shall take her place as deputy."

The pale-green-eyed she-cat stepped up towards the Great Rock, her head dipping with solemn. Willowsky had then slumped down in front of the large group of cats, taking a seat. She gave Mintstrike a smile of approval. The Thunderclan cats then began to chant the new deputy's name.

"Mintstrike! Mintstrike!"

Lionstar then murmured something to the Shadowclan leader, as she then stepped up to the ledge of the Great Rock. Lionstar then backed down and to the side of the other leaders.

The Shadowclan leader cleared her throat, her tail swishing in the freezing air. "Shadowclan's prey is running well, besides the snow. But, we had been attacked by foxes a couple quarter moons ago, and they almost managed to get to the nursery. Just thank Starclan the kits and queens are-"

The Shadowclan leader was cut off by a fierce yowl. It had been a large gray tabby tom shouldering his way through the swarm of cats, the tabby growling sternly with unsheathed claws. "You mouse-brain. Starclan doesn't exist! It's just a little petty kit-tale, it's nothing important!" he yowled with his pupils taking the form of thorns.

"If it doesn't exist, then you might as well prove it you fish-eater!" a Thunderclan warrior from the rear hissed.

The gray tabby tom then crouched down, his slim tail lashing. His muscles tensed as he leapt at a random warrior by propelling himself forward with his hind legs. He then tackled the warrior to the snow, as the two cats turned into a clump of tumbling fur. The gray tabby then tumbled away, hissing with a temper.

Cats then swarmed him, their hackles risen. A warrior risked a lunge at the gray tabby, but he flipped onto his spine as the warrior leapt. He sprawled out his legs, the warrior then plumetting onto the tabby's belly. He'd slam his legs shut around the warrior atop him, his claws seeping into their shoulders and thighs. The gray tom used his force to flip the other warrior onto the ground, pinning them down by their shoulders.

"Gooseneedle, that's enough!" Hollowstar hissed. "There's no need to fight over your mouse-brained belief! Gatherings are meant for the Clans to get along with each other, not to act likes it's a battle!"

"Well, if StarClan really existed, they would be covering up the moon with clouds if a fight occurred at a Gathering! Does it look like they're doing that? No!" the silver tom retorted, yowling.

The cats then looked up at the clear sky. No cloud was to be seen covering the moon. Some cats parted their jaws in a shocked gasp, and some's eyes filled with deploration.

"Starclan never has existed. If so, they'd warn you about the dangers of this forest, and they'd cover up the moon with clouds if something brutally physical occurred at a Gathering!" Gooseneedle spat once more.

"We're going to have some trouble when we get back to camp," Hollowstar hissed down from the Great Rock at the silver warrior.

"Vengeance will be brought to these Clans, stomping them into the dust. Your Clans will grow weak and powerless under the power of one who chooses the dark path!"
