Cinderstar flicked her tail briefly as she gazed over the cats once more to confirm her choice. "I say these words before StarClan," she called, "so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of ShadowClan is Cherrystripe."

Cherrystripe winced at her name being called out. "I-I'm so sorry, Cinderstar, but I cannot accept it. You see, I am expecting Pouncesplash's kits." The dark ginger she-cat's tail swept over to the side to reveal her swollen stomach. A bit of the cats gasped In shock, and others smiled at her to congratulate the new queen.

Cinderstar grunted. "Very well, then. The new deputy of ShadowClan shall be.." She took a moment to glance down at the cats below with her striking amber gaze. "Rosestorm."

The ginger-and-black she-cat smiled as she rose up to her paws, and took a step up in front of the crowd. "I accept the role as deputy." She then leapt up onto a branch lower and close to the Pinebranch.

"Then it shall be settled. Rosestorm is the new deputy of ShadowClan," Cinderstar called. The Clan began to chant the new deputy's name.

"Rosestorm! Rosestorm! Rosestorm!"

Archpaw glanced over at Toadpaw, who had a smug expression on his face, then turned his gaze back to the new deputy of the Clan. The tabby tom blinked nonchalantly before Cinderstar flicked her long tail in dismissal, and leapt down from the Pinebranch with Rosestorm leaping down at all fours beside the leader. He watched Cinderstar shoulder through the cats crowding around both her and Rosestorm, and ushered herself out of the camp. Archpaw snarled.

"Why is she suddenly leaving the camp? After the deputy ceremony, too!" Archpaw snapped to Toadpaw. "You know what- I'm following her. I don't care what warriors decide to scold me." He'd flick his tail, and watched as Toadpaw parted his jaws as he was about to speak. The tabby apprentice silenced Toadpaw with a large forepaw, hoisted himself up, and bounded out of camp. He heard warriors calling out his name, but he didn't give any cares.

Archpaw soon skirted along the side of the thunderpath, only to see Cinderstar standing amongst another cat. They reeked of Thunderclan scent, and the cat had many battle scars and a massive frame. The cat was dark gray, and had glowing amber eyes. Breezestar. Archpaw ducked into a bramble thicket, and pricked his ears towards the leaders. He had managed to eavesdrop successfully.

"Cinderstar. I heard that one of your apprentices attacked on of my warriors!" Breezestar hissed, towering over the Shadowclan leader. "Very disrespectful of them!"

"Excuse me?" Cinderstar retorted. "That apprentice had a reason to, mouse-brain! That warrior threatened that apprentice for scolding them about stealing prey! Have you got bees in your brain?" Cinderstar slammed a paw onto the dirt. "They had the right to defend themselves!"

Breezestar shoved the leader down with his massive paws, and hissed as she toppled into the dirt. His fur prickled. "They did not have a right to attack one of my warriors, because he didn't do anything to your apprentice! I'm disappointed in both you and your Clan. If Shadowclan didn't exist, we wouldn't be in this mess!" The massive Tom turned away. "Rot in the Dark Forest, Cinderstar." The massive leader stalked a few fox-lengths in front of her, then raced across the thunderpath. He'd then stalk into the shadows of his part of the forest.

Cinderstar sniffed the air, only to pick up the scent of Archpaw, and she wriggled herself up. She began to storm over to the bramble thicket the apprentice was hidden in. Archpaw skidded backwards on his haunches as Cinderstar approached, and slinked behind a nearby tree, trying to avoid crisp leaves on the forest floor. He heard Cinderstar stifle a low growl, before he watched her stalk off in the direction of camp. Giving his pelt a light shake, he followed.

They were talking about me, weren't they? It's not my fault that flea-brain trains his Clan to be more aggressive than a dog!

Archpaw let out a hiss as he silently entered the camp, and glanced around. Have the warriors forgotten about him sneaking out of camp to follow Cinderstar, or were they keeping a secret? He let out a quiet snicker, and headed towards the apprentices' den, but he ended up coming to an abrupt halt. The deputy, Rosestorm, was standing amongst him with a growl.

She shook her head. "You really snuck out of camp, didn't you? Very, very disappointed in you. I'll be reporting this to Cinderstar-" She was cut off rudely, and was tackled into a thicket inside of the camp. She looked down at Archpaw, who had his massive claws to her throat.

"Tell Cinderstar, I dare you! If she comes screeching to me about it, I'll have your throat hanging around my neck. Your body will be fed to the crows! Do you understand me, Rosestorm?" Archpaw snapped, applying pressure to the she-cat's throat. He was practically.. strangling her. He snarled once he noticed the fear in the new deputy's eyes.

"I understand, just please don't kill me and feed me to the crows! I won't tell Cinderstar. You're.. You're free to go now," Rosestorm gasped. The deputy darted out of the thicket once Archpaw released his grip, and she headed towards the warrior den.

Archpaw grinned. "Thanks Stoneflame, for all the training," he grinned before hopping out of the thicket. "It'll all pay off one day.."

Sorry the chapter is shorter than the other ones. I, well, didn't have a lot of ideas to fit into it, since I didn't perhaps write a script. No, I don't normally write out my plans, so a lot of the times, the stories are jumbled up with random events, but, I'll write a script for the next story I write! And sorry I was dead for what seemed like 68 years. I got overly lazy and a bit busy with schoolwork, and I didn't really feel like using my brain to write. Well, guess that's it for this note!
