(Emily's POV)

"That was bloody brilliant." Ron congratulated us the next morning, Halloween.

"I think it was cruel." Hermione scolded.

"That cat is cruel; it was her karma." I said happily.

Sitting in the great hall for breakfast we all scoffed down our food and made our way to the entrance hall to leave for Hogsmeade with everyone else. Filch was there, with a still slightly pink Mrs Norris, it appears that the colour was slowly fading.

"We'll bring you back some sweets." I heard Ron tell Harry.

I waved to Harry as we left, feeling very sorry for the poor boy. Linking arms with my friends we made our way to Hogsmeade Village, as it came into view, we began talking very excitedly about all the sweets and new joke shop supplies we would buy. We entered Honeydukes first and watched Lee go nuts over all the sweets before heading to Zonko's Joke Shop to stock up our prank supply.

"Hey, look!" I said, pointing as we exited the joke shop.

"What?" Lee asked, looking to where I was pointing.

"Is that the same dog?" Fred asked.

I shrugged and quickly took a photo of the dog hiding around the corning of The Three Broomsticks, but the flash once again scared it off. I quickly bolted after it before anyone could stop me.

"Emily!" All three boys called out after me.

I ran in the direction the dog did and saw it dive into a bush.

"It's ok, doggy. I'm not going to hurt you." I called to the dog, getting down on my knees.

The dog slowly emerged from the bush, it growled and jumped at me but was shot with a spell before it could reach me.

"Are you ok?" Fred asked, helping me up after the dog ran off.

I nodded, smiling at my friends, knowing my actions were a little stupid.

"Ok, so maybe the dog isn't friendly." I admitted, making the boys chuckle.

We made our way to the pub and found Lucy, Bella, and Oliver sitting together.

"Hey, guys, mind if we join you?" I asked, taking a seat between Lucy and Bella.

"Long time no see, Em." Bella greeted.

"How have you been?" Oliver asked.

"Almost got attacked by a dog, but other than that I'm wonderful." I said, making the twins and Lee laugh.

"I can't tell if you're serious or not." Lucy said laughing.

Just then a boy walked up to our table and greeted us kindly.

"Oh, hi Cedric." Lucy greeted happily.

Cedric Diggory was a Hufflepuff and good friends with Lucy, I had only talked to him a couple of times but he seemed super nice and he was the Captain and Seeker of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Which meant he was Lucy's friend as well as captain as she was a Beater on the Hufflepuff team.

"I came over here to ask Emily something." Cedric said confidently.

"Oh, what's up?" I asked, confused.

"Well, I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me?" Cedric asked, still very confident.

This made everyone stop drinking their butterbeer and stare at me, Fred, George, and Lee choked a little on their drinks. I liked Cedric and all but not like that, he was much too arrogant for me.
