'Get to know you'

I'm Y/N! I've been in the system of adoption, I've been adopted, I've been given back, sometimes in the same condition, sometimes worse. My real mother and father I have no clue about, I try to piece things together like a puzzle. Do I have my mom's eyes or my poppa's? Do I have my poppa's laugh or my mom's? How do I know who's is who's? I dunno.

I sat on a bench in elementary school, in the back yards of the school grounds. Daydreaming and keeping to my own mind, I'm happy that way.
Though sometimes I feel lonely! Like an ache is in my heart that I can't get rid of!
The clouds cover the sun, to the left was a gray wall, to my right was a black, spiky, tall fence about 15 feet away from me. The same foggy school I always had to go to. Beyond the fence lies bushes and trees, you can't see the end or a wall, only nature laid beyond the black fence of my school. I stood up, clutching my back pack I started walking towards the fence. Every step I took a million thoughts raced through my mind. What if I can get through there? What if there's poison ivy? What if I can get out?
Now I stood in front of the overly tall black fence, all the other kids feared it, they feared how even on bright days here it loomed a shadow casting darkness on the school yard. Although, I'm not afraid of it, so what if it's dark, darkness is just what we don't see. If you turn the lights off in your room, your room is still the same, the shadows are your friend. I reach over my shoulder and take off my back pack, I set it down on the grass. I reach out-
"Y/N! Get over here right now!"
I jumped hearing the school teacher that was on duty to watch this lunch break. I turn my head but don't make any move to go to them. Their face shows anger, "Y/N if you don't-" they start to raise their voice but I cut them off. "If you want me to come you have to say my full name." I say calmly turning back to the big black fence. They hesitate, "Y/N s-"
"No, I said MY full name, not my adoptive family's."
I start up the fence climbing faster then expected for a young middle schooler. I hear shouting from below, the fence is wet from condensation, my hand slipping every so often. It's cold, my hands are freezing and I left my bag down there. I get to the top and slide down on the other side of the big black fence. The teacher tries to grab me through the bars, only to fail. I run into the bushes and trees, the wet leaves making my clothes damp. The leafs slapping against my face as the droplets from the trees fall on me like rain. The wind was picking up, the sky was getting a bit brighter. The echoing yells of the teacher fading into silence of the wind. The only thing I could hear was the whistling of winds and the hard breaths I was taking. I felt light headed, I slowed down and sat down in a muddy, grassy spot. I laid down and looked up into the pine trees above, I don't know when I fell asleep.

"Y/N!"
You awoke startled.
"WHAT THE FLIPFLAMGABLES?!"
You jolt up grabbing at air while you fall on your butt against some carpet. You look up, Simon stands above you, smiling a delightful smile. 'That b!tch..' you thought and groaned rolling your head so it cracks. "Why'd you have to wake me up like that Simon?" You moan out like a ghost awakened from it's grave. He chuckles with closed eyes, putting his hands on his hips he retorts. "You sleeping-" "princess?" You interrupted, "I was gonna say warthog."you scoff as he shines a smug smile. You look around, 'we aren't in the stadium any longer..?' You questioned in your head.
Or so you thought.
"Yeah I picked you up after the game ended and took ya to the apartment I'm renting for the time being."
'Oh shiz I said that out loud'
"Yes, yes you did" Simon snorts out.
"Aw dang it! Why'd I gotta do that?"
"I think you should've asked yourself that question not me" Simon responds like a brat. "Shush uuuup.." you fall backwards into the carpet. Simon stands up heading to the kitchen. You lift your head up now properly able to scan your surroundings. You laid on the carpet next to a big step right into this kitchen with pale yellow tiles. To your right was an average sized brown couch, with a ton of 49'ers blankets on it. 'He really does love football..? Cool.' you look above yourself to the door and coat rack, next to the coat rack was a window where you saw clouds and the top of other buildings. 'Probably on the top floor' you thought. Ahead of you was a small hallway, in the middle was a door saying Bathroom in swooping letters. At the end were two doors, not signed as anything. 'but one's gotta be his room, probably still got 1D posters on the walls..' you cringe at the last time he showed you his room.
So
Many
Body pillows.
It freaked you out, not freaked out in a good way but freaked out in the way a centipede disappears out of your sight and your paranoid about it for the rest of the day. The 'living room' light was off, the only illumination needed was the kitchen's humming lamp light. You let your head fall lifeless against the carpet making a not so quiet THUD.
"My head..." you groan in pain rolling over to get up, you pause for a moment due to dizziness. After a moment of hesitation you get up walking over to the couch, falling onto it not bothering to get into a proper sleeping position, and you soon drift into unconsciousness.

"G!"
He turned his head to the tiny squeak of his name. "What's up frisk?" He replied flashing the kid a lazy grin. "Where's pretty lady?" They questioned for the hundredth time, 'jeez kid your putting me through the ringer here!' He slouched over his couch looking at the kid laying down on the rug. With their pens and paper they could make anyone's heart melt. Even his.
"Their at home kiddo" he straightened his back and started towards the kitchen, hands in his pockets. He's got even less sleep these last couple of nights, not that he sleeps very well at all. Getting a day job, AND a night job tires ya out, just to provide for this lil kid. Due to some "uncertainties" for tori she has lost custody of frisk. To avoid putting frisk in the system G, as her second guardian has taken her in. G sighs realizing how right Y/N was when she pointed out how this place wasn't exactly the best environment for a kid. G shrugs and walks upstairs.
'The f&ck do I do?' He asks himself, 'if a legal agent comes checks this place out, which I'm sure they'll do, frisk would be taken away by those bastards..' G stops in his tracks. His face contorting into one of complete annoyance, "F&CK!" He yelled as he realized.
Y/N's house was the perfect kid's environment.

"Simon no"
"Simon yes"
"Simon stop please"
"Never"
"SIMON"
"Shush! You'll wake her!"
"I'm not doing this! Their stinky! And gooey! And I don't know where they've been,"
"So what?! It's basically the same as dating!"
"COMPLETELY different things Simon!"
"I know I know!"
You two bickered by Simon's bed as he had a cockatoo on his arm. 'The f&Ck..' you think.
"I ain't taking care of it!" You state shaking your head vigorously, "come on! Please! Please! PLEASE!" He whined while stroking the cockatoo's head feathers. He gives you the LOOK. "Oh my gosh Simon please not the look.." he puts his face next to the cockatoo's. "Pwetty pwease?" 'Oh gosh..no! Don't give I-' "I'll take you to a restaurant where they have cloth napkins!" "Okay!" You shout, then you have one of those moments where you immediately regret what you say. Simon jumps up with joy, "YAY! Your the best Y/N!" 'It's too late..' "okay! I'll send him over and all the stuff tomorrow okay?" Thank you!" You sigh and walk out of the room, say good bye to Simon and walk out the door.
'Well, it's not like it's a kid though right? What trouble could simply a bird get into?'
