Y/N's POV ~
I grabbed my duffel bag full of stuff I might need, like art stuff, snacks cause I know for a fact they won't bring food, and spare clothes. I tied up my sleeping bag and swung it round my shoulder the rope digging into my shoulder which made me wince a little.
I changed my trainers to more worn out ones not wanting to scuff and ruin my new ones.
I knocked on my dads bedroom door waiting for him to answer, after he didn't I walked inside and saw him sleeping at his desk hunched over, I gave a small smile and grabbed a fleecy blanket putting it over him before writing him a letter telling him I already left for Verns.

I hopped down my steps and started walking towards the diner going around the corner when I heard fire crackers going off and two boys shouting something, I raised an eyebrow put payed no mind to it till a blonde haired woman in a diner outfit asked if I saw anyone light cherry bombs out here
"No I heard it but I was down the road sorry" she nodded and went back in as I kept walking my way, when I was about to turn the corner I bumped into someone
"Shit sorry" I said rubbing my head not looking at the person
"Fucking hell watch where your going bitch" I stopped and stumbled at the voice before realising I bumped into Ace Merrill one of the biggest assholes in our small town, I stepped back and looked at him seeing eyeball with him wearing Gordies cap
"Seriously I'm sorry Ace I wasn't watching where I was going" I said sincerely now if he bumped into me this would be a whole different story, Ace stared me down before telling me to move along, so I flashed him a smile and went, pretending to stretch and lifted the cap off eyeballs head which he didn't notice some how.
I put on the cap and started walking taking a turn into the little corner shop, grabbing food and drinks and looked at the counter seeing the man stocking shelves, I crept to the counter and grabbed a pack of fags before hearing a cough behind me
"I hope you were planning on paying for that" he said pointing at my food and drinks which I nodded at placing the fags back knowing he caught me, he went round and counted up the money
"You know a bonnie lassie like you shouldn't be smoking" The old man said looking at me while I handed him the money
"It makes the pain go away for a short while" I said with a sad smile
"Ah yes your Y/N L/N, Ophelia's sister, poor thing what happened to that girl" I nodded and thanked him before he stopped me
"Here" he said handing the fags over to me, "I know what you mean by numbing the pain, but don't mention it to anyone" I nodded and thanked him while leaving walking down to the bridge.

"Hey guys!" I said waving to the boys
"Hey N/N's" I heard from most of them but Chris, as everyone started walking I looked at him
"You alright?"
"You got gordies hat" he said pointing to it
"Yeah, I want to see how long till he notices, you never know I might have just gotten a new cap Chambers" I said winking and marching along with Teddy down the train tracks.

Time skip

I was walking along the train tracks while the boys were singing behind me, I sighed and looked at the scenery looking at the long grass that was at both sides of me, I thought about what the old man said in the shop and how he was talking about Ophelia, about a couple of months ago, a little bit after Denny died in that car crash, Ophelia died from being raped from someone we still don't know who, and they left her for dead, I went to look for her so she would come in for dinner and i found her there, half naked with blood over her face and a cut down her leg which must've it her artery and made her bleed out.
I didn't realise I started crying until I tasted something salty and wet in my mouth, I wiped my tear away and looked back up noticing Teddy was trying to talk to me
"Hm?" I hummed looking at Teddy
"Were you not listening to me this whole time?" Teddy looked at me baffled
"Sorry, I was in my own wee world" Teddy looked at me as if he knew what I meant, Teddy is the only one I told about what I saw that day, no one knew what family Ophelia came from thanks to her last name, she took my mother's last name who decided to run one day because she wanted to 'live' and be 'free' when she had two kids.
"Anyway what was it?" I questioned raising an eyebrow
"Did you bring any food none of us did" All the boys heads snapped towards me, while I chuckled nervously.
"I mean I did but I wasn't planning on sharing it was verns idea after all I thought he would have brought food" I said trying to keep my food I knew they wouldn't bring any dammit
"Liar! You knew we wouldn't bring any" Shouted Gordie
"Yes I did! But I'm not sharing assholes!" I shouted back

"Since Y/N's being mean why don't we see how much change we got"
Heads up i forgot how much they all had

67 pence from Teddy...." Gordie stopped as he looked at Verns change before raising his eyebrow
"7 pence Vern?"
"I haven't found my pennies yet" Vern defended, the ground started to shake as Chris got up
"Train" I grabbed my bag and stood up walking down when I noticed we were missing one, I turned back around as Teddy just stood there on the train tracks getting ready to jump.

"Teddy come on man get off the tracks" Said Chris urgently
"Train dodge dig it" Teddy muttered only barely hearing him "just like the beaches in Normandy" as he started making machine gun sounds throwing his sleeping bag his eye and ear! He's gonna get himself killed!
"Teddy come on your gonna get killed!" I shouted, yet he still didn't move, I went and ran with Chris, him grabbing one arm me grabbing the other, I spun him round feeling the train skim my back and the sound was deafening as the two boys started fighting, I felt up my back feeling a light scratch as I thought about how I was lucky and Teddy might not have been.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF?" Shouted Chris while Teddy shouted back at him and I zoned out starting to cry that Teddy nearly killed himself, it's the tree incident all over again.
"Y/N?" I heard Teddy say kicking me down to earth
"Your an asshole you know that" I mumbled before raising my voice back to its normal volume
"Your a real asshole" I grabbed my bag and started walking hearing the boys talk about my mood while the two taller boys of the group made up, I heard someone running up to me, I stumbled as someone swung their arm around my shoulder.
"Listen Y/N I'm sorry please stop being mad at me" Teddy said with a crack in his voice
"I'm not mad I'm scared, you forget about your eyes and your ear, and don't get me wrong it's brave of you it really is, but it's gonna get you killed one day Teddy" He stopped me and turned we round grabbing my shoulders
"Come on I'm not gonna die on you, you know that" I looked at him and smiled, wrapping my arms round his shoulders
"You better not" feeling him wrap his arms around my waist and nuzzling his face into my shoulder while I winced making him pull back
"You alright?" I nodded and moved touching my back taking off my hoodie
"Holy shit!" Shouted Vern I looked at them and raised an eyebrow
"Your bleeding" I shrugged
"It's just a small cut"
"Small cut!" Shouted Chris making me wince a bit I tried looking over my shoulder and couldn't see anything
"Has it cut through my top?" I said which they all nodded I sighed and grabbed my bag, grabbing another top
"Turn" they all turned except for Teddy which made Chris grab him by the neck and spin him round, as I took off my shirt looking at the back which had rust and blood on it and it was torn I put my hand to my back and pulled it back, looking to see barely any blood which I was happy at, pulling on my other top.
"Well we better get going to the car yard wouldn't want to keep Chopper waiting" Making the boys sarcastically laugh
"Yea just you haven't got any balls" I looked at Gordie
"Hun I've got bigger balls than all of ya punks" I said winking and walking again before the boys ran up, Teddy on my left and Chris on my right and Gordie next to Chris and Vern next to Teddy with their arms over my shoulder
