Tadashi left with those words still stuck in his head. 'Welcome to hell. Is it really that bad?' Tadashi wondered as Zach led him to the sleeping quarters. There were about twenty cots ten on each wall, that Tadashi saw when he walked in. Zach walked to the very back and pointed to a cot beside one with messy sheets and the pillow scrunched up against the wall, which was pushed against the wall.

"This is where you'll be sleeping. By Jo's bed," Zach said and Tadashi just stared at the bed, but he manages a nod.

Tadashi sits on the bed, and when Zach leaves, telling him dinner is in an hour, Tadashi falls onto the bed rubbing his eyes with his hands. 'Hiro must think I'm dead. How long have I been out?' Tadashi wondered and turned over. His eyes drift closed and he fell asleep, the worry from the day exhausting him. He's awoken by his shoulder being shaken and pain. He opened his eyes and swats the person's hand away grabbing his shoulder, and hissing violently.

"Oh crap. I totally forgot you were burned pretty bad when they brought you in. I'm really sorry about that by the way. It must be hard," someone said and Tadashi saw Jo standing in front of him. She sat on her bed, beside his.

"Yeah it is. I mean, how am I suppose to get all the girls to like me now?" Tadashi asks sarcasticly, rubbing his shoulder. Jo grinned, making Tadashi smile as well.

"Well if I was you, I wouldn't care what people thought of me. If a guy comes by and doesn't like me because of my scars, I'd throw him in the ditch right there and then," she said and stood up. "It's dinner by the way. You can come to the mess hall when you're ready. It's on the other side of the warehouse."

"Wait, Jo, how long have I been out, since before I woke up? I need to know," Tadashi said. Jo turned and looked at him with sad eyes. She sighed softly and moved her eyes to the ground.

"Two months, Tadashi. You were out for two months when they brought you here," Jo said and turned away from him.

Tadashi nodded, although feeling a pain in his gut, and watched as she left. He picked up his shoes from where he kicked them off, slipping them on and ran after her, ignoring the pain to follow her to the mess hall. There were about three big tables in a row and everyone was cramped together. There were platters of chicken, hamburgers, and pitchers of multiple drinks. Tadashi sits in an open seat across from Jo, Zach, and Hammer. Right next to Wilderbe.

"So how does this work?" Tadashi asked, looking at all the food, wondering if he had to wait or something.

"Uh, dude. Just get food," Zach said, and Hammer laughed. Tadashi just looked down at his feet, swallowing hard.

Jo punches Zach in the arm and Wilderbe punches Hammer. "Don't be so rough on him. He's had a hard time already. All you need to do is grab a plate, a cup and get what looks good," Jo said and continued eating her own food. Tadashi does as she said and ends up getting a hamburger, fries, and water. Tadashi ate fast, savoring the taste since he hasn't eaten good food for two months.

After dinner, everyone goes back to working and Tadashi follows Jo to their work station. One side was her and it looked like she cleared off a table on the other side of the room, where he would set up shop. When they walk in Tadashi realized there were tools and supplies everywhere, even on what was considered his side. He could build almost anything with what he saw.

"Just make sure you don't interfere on what I'm building. I hate it when people mess it up," Jo said without looking at him. Tadashi nodded, and he knew she didn't have to see him to know he understood. He walked over to the table that was his and examined the pieces of metal on it. He could build something out of it, but what. Tadashi thought for a bit then he started working letting the idea flow out of his mind on to his work, easing the stress that had began to swim inside of his head. When he finished, he held it up to make sure everything was even. Jo walked over and examined it.

"A toy robot?" She asked, looking at him with a weird look on her face.

"It was for my brother. He used to love these types of things. I always build one for him on his birthday," Tadashi said, and smiled remembering the memories.

Jo put the toy down and put a hand on his arm. "I'm sorry you were taken from your brother. Being taken from your family is hard," she said then puts her hand down and walked over to her work and starts banging on it. Her eyes seemed more anguished than before. Tadashi just watched her work, then he shook his head, and starts working on something else. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to be doing besides filling his time.

'She seems broken and sad. And I'm going to figure out why.' Tadashi thought as he brought his hammer down on the metal.
