Ithilethiel ( "moon maiden") (Ith-ill-ehth-ee-ell)
The one ring. Dangerous to all. Temptatious to men, dwarves, and elves. who would have known that the one who found it would have been none of those. A Hobbit. Creatures of the shire, preferring to keep to themselves. But not this one.
I am Ithilethiel daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn, Lady of the Moon and the Walking Light. Lady of many names of those who have never seen me.
I was born in the light but with the dark. The sun had fallen and the moon had awakened. It was a rare night of our people. All the stars seemed to be present.
My hair was whiter than the moon themselves which is the reason I was given the name Ithilethiel, "moon maiden". My skin was also pale as could be but I had been given these bright but dark blue eyes that people outside of Lothlorien have said it could pierce the heart of a brave person who dared to look.
Even with my beauty, many people believed me to be just like any other elven maiden. My sister, Celebrian had been the type of lady. I was the opposite. From a young age, I could use a bow better than anyone in our army. My parents never stopped me because they believe the valar had given me these gifts to use them not to hide them away and waste them. I was taught not only how to shoot, but how to use swords and daggers. From there I developed my style of using my bow, my twin swords on my back, and my daggers hidden in small places.
I had been to Rivendell, with my sister being Lord Elrond's wife. I tried to visit them when I could especially when they had the two twins running around and a baby on the way. The twins were born TA 130, with the names of Elladan and Elrohir. My sister was forever grateful for my presence. When the baby was born in TA 241, she was given the name of Arwen along with the Everstar of our people. She was a beautiful little girl who did not cry like her brother when she was born. They were all happy and I was happy for them. I was still slightly young at this point. But all that happiness was taken away from everyone in TA 2509 when on her way to visit my parents and myself, she was taken and tortured by orcs. Her sons found her after she had not made it to her homeland and Elrond did her best to heal her but her pain was too much for her to handle. So she sailed away leaving her family behind.
It was a hard day, seeing my sister so broken and leaving me. We were always the opposite and now it was just me. Arwen was still young but she understood that her mother was leaving her, yet she didn't know why she was leaving and she was in a terrible state. Elrond knew not what to do so I offered for her to come to Lothlorien, the home of her mother and learn that while yet her mother was gone from Middle Earth she was now happy with the Valar. Elrond was forever grateful for my assistance but I looked at it more of two younger people grieving together.
I will admit years later I am still affected by her departure, though I know it was for the best. I missed having her by my side.
While in Rivendell, there was new hope. One called Aragon or Estel to the elves. He was the son of Arathorn and Gilrean, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor. Born in TA 2931, His father had died in battle and his mother dropped him off at Rivendell where Elrond found his own new hope and looked after Aragon as his own.
Arwen left Lothlorien at some point in a better state than when she came.
And years continued to move on, and I traveled across Middle Earth helping when needed. I met Mithrandir along the way and become very good friends with him. I also found Aragon or Strider as he was now known after looking for my nephews to return home to their father. I stayed with Aragon for a while but then took my leave to go to my mother and father, where I spend time between there and Rivendell. Until recent events.
