We must hold this course west of the Misty Mountains for forty days. If our luck holds the Gap of Rohan will still be open to us. and there are road turns east to Mordor.
We had left in the morning with formal good luck from Lord Elrond and the rest of Rivendell.
We rested in a plain of rocks that was not too far from Rivendell. The Hobbits grew tired so we decided to stop for a rest. Boromir was teaching the young hobbits, Merry and Pippin, how to fight with a sword while Estel was watching them and giving pointers every so often. Sam Was tending to the fire as he was cooking a meal for everyone. Gimli the dwarf was smoking his pipe complain about our route. Mirthrandir and Frodo were talking on top of a rock and Legolas was watching the surrounding. I was also watching our surroundings, it was much too quiet for a time like this.
"Good, very good." Boromir's voice yelled out as pippin made the right move.
Estel jumped in saying, "Move your feet"
"You look good Pippin" Merry complimented his friend
"Thanks," Pippin replied
A loud voice jumped in," If anyone was to ask for my opinion, which I note that they're not, I'd say that we were taking the long way round. Gandalf, we could pass through the Mines of Moria. My cousin Balin would give us a royal welcome.
"No Gimli, I would not take the road through Moria unless I had no other choice." Mithrandir explaining to him. I stepped up where they were. The two of us made knowing eye contact. I know the dangers of Moria, Lothlorien being a border close to it.
"Well, it would be a lot shorter..." Gimli started to say only for me to cut him off
"It's the last resort."
I noticed that Legolas was very focused on something in the distance.
"Nan ha?" What is it
"Ú-iston." I don't know
The two of us continued to look at the incoming cloud-like thing in the sky. Mithrandir soon joined us by looking where our eyes fell.
During this Boromir's sword had slipped and he cuts Pippin's hand with his sword. So Pippin decided to drop his sword and jump on him
"ARGH!"
"Sorry!" Boromir tried to apologize, but Pippin kicks Boromir in the leg.
"Get him!" Merry joined.
The two hobbits were wrestling Boromir to the ground. As the mysterious thing approached closer.
"For the Shire. Hold him, hold him down Merry!" laughter filled the air.
Aragon decides to get up and attempt to break up the fight," Gentlemen, that's enough!" He was unsuccessful and both Merry and Pippin grab Aragorn's legs, then threw him backward onto the ground.
"You've got my arm... argh!... you've got my arm."
Sam suddenly noticed something happening and stands up," What is that."
"Nothing, it's just a wisp of cloud." Gilmi shook it off
"No, it's moving too fast..." I said knowing it was something far worse.
"Crebain! From Dudland!" Legolas yelled out to the group.
"Hide!"
Everyone took cover. Both Legolas and I had the same idea to hide under the bushes rather than just the rocks like everyone else. It was was silent among our group and all that could be heard was the flapping of wings above us. Once they were gone, everyone emerges from all of our hiding places
