Small hands pushed with most of the little strength they held to push open a door. A girl with blond hair and bright big blue eyes looked through the crack. The girl was young, around 8, and short for her age. But very intelligent. She heard her mother humming to the sound of her favourite musical as she cooked them dinner. The little girl walked inside the room and looked around. She wasn't allowed in here without her mommy or daddy. But she was looking for something specific. A notebook her mother always had, but never let her see. Her mother said she didn't even know what was inside. The girl kept looking and looking until she got on all fours and looked under the bed. There it was. The black and white stripped notebook with flower designs on it. The girl reached for it and pulled it out. On the cover of the book had a name. Mara. The girl had never heard that name before. She opened the book and saw writing in the very first page. It said:
"Who died first?"
Below that was more writing:
Annabelle. 1995
Charlie. 20:13
Estelle. 2020
Mara. 2018
Lola. 2001
Isabelle. 2005
This is... the girls name was written here. Isabelle. She didn't understand. She wasn't even born in 2005. However, the girl recognized these peoples names. Lola was the name of her aunt, the aunt she keeps seeing at night. However, her aunt looks much younger than her mother even though she was born 5 years older. But, Annabelle, was the name of her mom. Her mother... dead? No way, her mother has been the same since... forever. Isabelle tried to open the book, but it was impossible. Her fingers ached for how hard she pulled in the pages. While trying to open the book, she noticed another name in the corner of the page. She paused and read the name.
"Jay?"
Suddenly... her fingers started to get hot. And hotter. And hotter. Isabelle's hands were on fire. She dropped the book and stood up, waving her hands around trying to take out the fire. The windows flung open and Isabelle felt her felt fly out the window. 5She felt herself falling faster, and faster. Until black.

"Hey, are you alright?" Isabelle opened her eyes. The sun was fading over the tall buildings of the city, and in front of Isabelle was
"Are you my prince?" Isabelle asked. The male looked at the little girl lying on her back.
"I can be if you want" Isabelle sat up and and smiled. Forgetting the fact she just fell out a window. Isabelle hugged the white haired male with a smile.
"Oh? What's this now?" Isabelle looked behind her prince and noticed-
"Who are you! Are you here to steal my prince!" Isabelle hugged her prince tighter. She didn't want to give him up
"Oh course not. You can have him"
"Wait Lola-" the prince tried to escape the princesses grasp.
"No! You said you wouldn't!" The prince looked towards the princess and smiled.
"You are my princess, but Lola is my queen. I need to please her, but you come after." Isabelle pouted and let go. Sheds felt like she's known these people forever. Prince stood up and walked towards Lola. He reached 0ut for her but she moved away from him and walked towards Isabelle. Lola knelt down to the small child's size and looked at her. Lola grabbed her hand and held it tightly in hers. That's when Isabelle saw her hands. They were covered in blisters. Lola touched Isabelles face and every touch felt like fire was on her skin. She moved away from Lola's grasp and breathed heavy.
"It's okay, I know someone who can help you." Isabelle was a smart kid and knew they were just burns, so she didn't need to worry. Isabelle looked behind her and noticed where she fell. A small implant of her was left in the snow, but no blood. She wasn't dead. Isabelle felt her eyes get wet with tears. She wanted her mom. But she had pride to not cry in front of these people.
Isabelle wiped her tears and sniffled in her snot.
"It's okay, they're just burns. My mom will bandage them up" :The fear of getting in trouble for snooping was inconvenient at this point.
"No, trust me. This aren't natural burns. But I would like to meet your mom, so I can explain where I'll be taking you"
"NO! You won't be taking me! Mommy says not to talk to strangers anyway!" Isabelle backed away. She looked down at her arms and her body was covered in bleeding cracks all along her skin. Her eyes hurt and blinking didn't help. The door suddenly swung open with a force so strong it made an indent on the house.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY DAUGHTER!" A women with pink hair yelled. Isabelle recognized this person5 as her mother.
"MOMMY!" Isabelle ran to her mothers side but once connected with her leg, she felt a burning feeling rise up her arms and chest, making it hard to breathe. She backed away screaming in agony. Lola lunged forward and touched the child with her finger. Isabelle slowly started falling into 5a slumber and went out hearing her mouth scream her name.

Isabelle woke up not in pain. She felt easy. She sat up slowly and looked around. It was very dark and gloomy.
"Isabelle" Isabelle looked around and spotted her mom.
"Mommy?" Isabelle's voice was groggy. Her mother Ann went to hug Isabelle but she flinched, afraid pain would take over. But when Ann connected herself to her, she didn't feel pain. It felt like a normal hug. Once they parted Isabelle looked at her mother.
"Mommy... what happened to me." Ann sighed.
"I don't know sweetie"
Lola and Prince came barging into the room. Lola held a slip of paper in her hands. She stopped next to the bed where Isabelle was resting. She held up a piece of paper. It had written on it
" MDExMDEwMDAgMDExMTAxMDAgMDExMTAxMDAgMDExMTAwMDAgMDExMTAwMTEgMDAxMTEwMTAgMDAxMDExMTEgMDAxMDExMTEgMDExMTEwMDEgMDExMDExMTEgMDExMTAxMDEgMDExMTAxMDAgMDExMTAxMDEgMDAxMDExMTAgMDExMDAwMTAgMDExMDAxMDEgMDAxMDExMTEgMDEwMTAwMDAgMDAxMTAxMDAgMDExMDExMDAgMDEwMTAwMTAgMDExMDAxMDAgMDExMDAwMDEgMDExMTAxMDEgMDEwMTAwMTAgMDEwMDExMTEgMDAxMTAxMDEgMDAxMTAwMDA= 7
"This was left where you fell" Isabelle looked at it and didn't understand. Everyone looked at each other in confusion.
"That's not even English" Prince stated.
"Oh not shit Bryson I wonder." Bryson dejected, placed a hand on Lola's shoulder. She didn't shrug it off. Isabelle noticed something.
"Is that a ring my Prince?"
"Prince?" Ann looked confused. Bryson looked at his ring and smiled.
"Yep, I married my queen 3 months ago when she finally said yes, although she doesn't wear her ring but that's okay." Bryson kissed Lola on the cheek. Lola blushed slightly.
"Anyway, does anyone know anything about this paper at all." Everyone went silent, reminded this wasn't a happy time. Lola flipped it over and on the back was:
14
5
17
-Everyone stared in silence at the note. What does it mean?
"Lola?" Isabelle began.
"Where are we?"
Lola looked at her with her red, glowing eyes. They held no emotion. Only pupils. Eyes are the window to the soul some say. Maybe it was shown that Lola has no soul.
"It's where the sun can't reach us. A place we go before the dawn."
"Why can't you see the sun?"
"Because the sun is for pure, and we aren't pure."
"You're being very nonchalant about this." Ann said. Breaking the awkwardness of weird quotes. The door opened, behind Ann, causing her to move more into the room.
"Lola! It's moving" Lola sprinted after a very tall person with Bryson right behind her. Ann picked up Isabelle and brought her along. The place was covered by vines like a dome. It was a peaceful place. Everyone was smoking and drinking beer. A notebook was ratting in a smaller mans arms.
"What is-" the notebook swung open when Lola walked close and the page ripped out of her hand and flew towards the notebook. The page started repairing itself. But one last piece wouldn't fit.
"I think we need to solve what's on the page in order to repair it! Lola after all this time we'll learn the truth." But Lola didn't look at anyone.
"Burn it."
"What."
"We must burn it right now."
"WE CANT DO THAT, IF WE DO THAT WE'LL CEASE TO EXIST!
"LEO WE HAVE TO BURN IT"
Bryson took Lola and pulled her away from Leo.
"Lola, please calm down. Without the notebook we can't be here." Lola whipped her eyes from the angry tears that fell. Isabelle saw that when Lola started crying, everyone's moved changed to somber. Lola must be very important to everyone.
"Lola" Ann called out to Lola. Lola looked at her.
"Why don't we ask Mara for help."
" You know she lacks the Docosahexaenoic acid in her brain. You know more than anyone."
"Um, the notebook?" Leo held up the notebook for everyone to see again.
Lola hid her face as she walked away. She knows the truth, but no one else does. As Lola walked away she looked up to see a small figure and a average figure.
Both with white albino hair, beaming red eyes, and damaged skin. But these two, have numbers. Lola has a 3 written on her neck. The others have 1 and 2.
"Lola, we need to talk."
