I had gotten used to going to events by myself over the years. Even when I was living back at home I would go to support my friends and younger siblings by going to their school plays or soccer games while my parents were at work. From art galleries to stage productions to concerts to offering a quiet and safe space to crash for the night, I have always tried to offer my hand and my presence in as many ways as I could. It's not like I didn't have friends, I do plus I can make friends easily due to my bubbly personality, but here in the big city it can be hard to find close friends, those of who will look out for you and not just their own ambitions. So it didn't seem too uncomfortable to show up at the concert venue alone. As I waited in the small line to get into the Seventh Street Entry with my ticket I printed off from earlier, I look up at the large light board above the entrance displaying the name of the bands who were playing tonight and saw that "Earphone Jack" was displayed as the headliner.

Denki had a right to be proud of his girlfriend, she'd come a long way from small cafes and open mic nights, and he wasn't kidding when he said that he invited a lot of people because the place was seriously packed. From wall to wall there were bodies pressing in on each other under the neon lights that were coloring the crowd in changing shades of purple, green, and blue. This particular venue was painted black, everything from floor to ceiling was thickly painted midnight to enhance the punk rock aesthetic making it hard to see who next to you. As the bass thumped along side the blaring electric guitar that made up the opening band I wove my way through the crowd over to the bar before trying to find a still corner to watch the main stage. I bobbed my head to the music as I waited for the bartender to get to me. From my peripheral I caught a flash of red as the arm attached to it reached past me to grab the two beers resting on the edge of the bar. The boys must have made a stop to change because the collared shirt and tie Kirishima previously had on had been replaced by a loose fitted band tee with the arms cut off and some acid washed jeans. "Hey Kirishima!" I waved to get his attention and his face lit up when we made eye contact, "Oh hey, it's Ochako right? I think that's what Midoriya said, cool that you made it! Are you here with anyone?" I shake my head no instead of trying to shout over the music, "Do you want to come hang with us? Kami saved us a table upstairs on the balcony if you want to join us!" I shout back, "That would be really nice, let me just get a drink and I'll follow you!"

The bartender eventually got to me and after some small talk with the red head along with paying for my gin and juice I followed Kirishima up the black staircase in the back of the room to a set of tables that lined the balcony and overlooked the main stage. Izuku waved and stood up as he saw us coming, "Oh Hey! I'm so glad you made it!" I smile and give him a high five as I sit next to him, "Ya, thankfully this place wasn't too hard to find." Kirishima put one of the beers in front of Bakugou who was back in his patched up jean jacket and beanie as he glared at us, "What?" I asked him, he narrowed his eyes and spit, "I'm just trying to figure out why the fuck you two are so god damn chummy and why the fuck you're sitting with us." The red head next to him took a sip from his beer then gave him a quick nudge with his elbow, "Come on Bakubro, be nice, it would be cool if a girl hung out with us once in a while, plus I invited her up here."

I was about to respond when a bright head of electric yellow hair bopped over to us, "Hey guys I'm so glad you all made it!" Denki beamed as he hugged Kirishima but when his eyes landed on me he let out a high pitched squeal, "Ocho you made it!!" He embraced me with a grin the size of the moon as I hugged him then looked down, "So you do still have this thing huh?" He also looked down at the distressed bleached denim jacket he was wearing then gave me another beaming grin, "Of course I do! I wear this to all my girl's shows and still fits like a glove, plus your magical work of art is the only stuff that can withstand all the mosh pits." I chuckle a little and heard a scoff to my right, "You made that?" I turn to the spiky blond to respond but Denki beat me to it, "Dude Ochako makes the best stuff, usually its just for the theater department but she made this for me like two years ago and its still holding up!" He did a little turn to show off the custom painted 'Earphone Jack' logo along with the embroidered lightning bolts on the cuffs. Another scoff and another offhand comment, "I didn't know you could actually make something other than coffee." I immediately spit back, "Ya and I didn't think that you looked like the kind of guy to actually understand calculus so I guess we are both surprised." The blond bit his lip but not in frustration, more like he was trying to hold back a smirk.

Izuku popped up just then and leaned over the balcony, "Hey look! They're about to start!" Our attention was drawn to the stage as the lights lowered and a band dressed in black decorated the stage, Denki hollered over the railing, "That's my girl!" The small frame of a girl in front of the center mic lifted her sharp angled purple bob in our direction and spoke into the mic, "And that's my idiot, alright 1.2.3. HIT IT!" The room lit up in blur of sound and color. The stage lights flashed back and forth with the intense beat of the drum set. The sound was edgy and angsty and made you just want to groove. Song after song slipped by and the hype kept coming, at one point Denki got on stage and Jirou grabbed him by the front of the shirt, kissed him, then pushed him off the stage to crowd surf, the dang goof looked like he was riding some absolute bliss all the way to Tahiti. While watching him float around on the sea of bodies I heard a gruff yet calm voice beside me, "What a fucking idiot." I smile up at him, "Hey it looks kind of fun don't you think?" He ran a hand through his hair, "Ya I guess... so, hey... look, I think we got off on the wrong foot, I'm sorry I was a dick back there." I give him a light punch to the shoulder so he'd turn to look at me, "Hey no hard feelings, I'm sorry I was rude as well and since we haven't actually been formally introduced, my name is Ochako Uraraka and its nice to meet you." He looked down at me and my extended hand which he eventually took and shook with a grin, "Katsuki Bakugou, and the pleasure is all mine." Just then a phone screen illuminated face moved next to us making us drop our hands, "Hey guys I've gotta go, my mom is waiting outside for me but I'll see you soon!" I waved bye to Izuku and watched him weave through the crowd towards the front door.

The rest of the night went by quickly and honestly it was a lot of fun to dance and joke around with the boys who were quickly becoming some of my favorite people. By the time Jirou's set and her encore were done my feet and voice were tired from all the jumping and yelling needed to talk to one another. Eventually I looked at my phone and saw that it was past midnight, the venue was slowly clearing out and the main lights were turning on, "Hey guys I gotta get going otherwise I'll miss the last bus back home." Kiri turned to me with a sloppy frown, "Aww man I thought you'd come to Kami's place tonight! they're gonna have a killer after party!" I laugh and pat his strong arm that was damp from jumping around, "Unfortunately I do have to get home. Have fun, but not too much fun ok?" The red head returned a goofy smile and comically rolled his eyes, "Ok MOM!" I laugh again and start to head towards the stairs when I felt someone walking behind me, I glance back to see two hands stuffed into black jeans. "So are you being a gentleman and walking me to the door or are you going to follow me all the way home." I say over my shoulder hearing a tch' in response.

Downstairs we run into Denki who is hanging out by the merch table, I give him a quick hug and thank him for inviting me, Bakugou piped up beside me, "Hey Pikachu, Shitty Hair is upstairs bumbling around like a drunken idiot, go grab him and bring him with you, I'll meet you at your place." A sly smile was given in return, "Oh is that so? Taking care of something are you?" He winked at me causing my face to flush, "No you fucking perv I'm just making sure pink cheeks gets home safe, she says she has to take the fucking bus." I look up at the boys and see them exchange a questioning look with what I can only assume is a death threat so I take this as my opportunity, "Well I'll see you guys later bye!" And with that I duck out of there quickly making my way outside to the bus stop, a moment later I feel the same strong presence beside me. "Look Bakugou, I can make it home just fine." He immediately spits back, "You've got to be fucking insane if you think I'm going to just send you off by yourself." I dramatically sigh, "So are you going to take the bus with me and then ride back here by yourself or do you have a better idea?" He finally meets my gaze and grins while pulling out a set of keys from his pocket, "Actually I do."
