Today went by way too fast! From class to dropping off costumes and picking up another pile of fabric and patterns to stopping into work to look at the new schedule, I didn't get back to the apartment until 4. And with the fretfulness of the night to come, combined with too much caffeine, the next hour was spent running around my apartment trying on different dresses and panicking about what each would convey with Toru's words haunting me like the grim reaper.

I talked through each one to Mina as she purred on the couch, "Oh Mina! What am I gonna do!" I called from my mess of a bedroom, "Lets see this one..." I walk out and stand in front of the the full length mirror positioned in the corner of the living room and do a turn while biting my lip in indecision. This dress came from my cousin at the last family gathering as hand-me-downs were passed around, it was an off the shoulder dress that bloomed out at the waist and stopped just above the knees, the top was a simple black jersey fabric that hugged my arms and chest while the bottom was a satin that was painted with pink and red roses. I pulled my strapless bra into a better position and paired the dress with some narrow black heels. "What do you think?" Mina had hopped off the couch and was weaving between my feet, she tilted her head upwards and meowed brightly. 'POP' "Oh shoot what time is it!" I grab my phone and sure enough it was five till and there was a message from Bakugou saying he was outside,"I'll be right down" 'send'. I squealed and quickly pushed a few bobby pins into the left side of my hair to pull that side back and put a swatch of red on my lips before grabbing my purse and running out the door.

My heart nearly fell out of my chest as I stepped outside to see him casually leaned up against his car scrolling on his phone. When he lifted his eyes up to me they lit up slightly and he walked confidently up to me, letting me take in the view. He was wearing his classic black ripped skinny jeans but had paired them with a tight fitting black button up in a fusion of his typical two aesthetics.

Let me just say, damn, it worked well. He chuckled and ran a hand through his hair only to tease me when he caught my eyes lingering, "You look damn good yourself." I blushed hard and ignore both his comment and open hand, walking up to the car while passing a whispered, "sorry" his way but before I could open the door to the silver vehicle Bakugou was leaning against, his hand went past mine and grabbed the handle to the passenger side door, "Here, let me." I just nodded and blushed harder while getting in and situating myself on the leather seat. The blond got in on the other side and started up the car then pulled away from the curb.

It was a quiet ride, both of us unsure of what to say but both content to listen to whatever was on the radio. We parked and slowly walked up to the front of a brightly colored Mexican restaurant that had music blaring from the open door way. I tried to break the silence and the increasing tension, "This looks nice" the man besides me huffed and relaxed his shoulders a bit, "Its one of my favorites, their salsa's the shit" I smile and peek up at him, we both had stopped on the sidewalk and were just waiting there for this ice to break, Bakugou sighed heavily and turned to me, "Look, cheeks, if you don't want to have dinner with me, you don't have to, I don't want to make you do anything you don't want to do or make you uncomfortable or some shit." I immediately perked up and shook my head, "Oh no! I definitely want to go to dinner with you!" He quirked an eyebrow like he didn't believe me, "I promise, I'm really excited to be here but I'm also really nervous because I've never really done this before." It was his turn to perk up, "Wait what? You've never been on a date before?" he looked so astounded so I tried to make myself look a little less like a weakling, "Oh, well, no, I've been on a few coffee dates but nothing fancy like this and not with, well, you." He chewed his lip ring as he chewed on this information, "So you've never had a boyfriend before?" I look down at my shoes, "no" He sighed again but this time in relief making him brighten his tone, "Oh good! Now I don't have to kill anyone" Confused, I watch him saunter into the restaurant, I follow but before I could respond he was being brought to a booth in the back for our reservation.
