Her amber eyes met his gunmetal eyes. As if, the Devil found his Queen.

He stared at the little woman in burqa whose glistening eyes were stuck on his large manly frame.

Ashrah was in a state of shock. She was terribly astounded by her brother's brutal death. She was not screaming, not even crying as if she had lost her voice. The fear badly clutched her heart, that's why she could not even move in her place.

“Bhai, we have to go!” Aezaj said his name to grab his attention from that poor girl.

But he didn't respond to his call as if he examined the intruder.

“Bhai,” Aezaj nudged him, “We have to get out of here before somebody gets inside.”

It's not like they were trying to escape from others. Though they didn't have to fear anyone, he didn't want to create another scene. Their job was done. So it's good to leave the place.

They don't have to fear anyone. Because they're the part of the most dangerous mafia in the country. They could walk in front of them, if they wanted to. Nobody dares to raise a finger against them, especially Adham Marwan. Who would like to see their deaths?

“Bhai,” this time Aezaj succeeded to get his attention.

Adham looked at him with a questioning look.

“Let's get out of here first, leave that girl.” Aezaj said.

Adham merely gave a nod. He looked down at the lifeless body of Ahmed to make sure if he reached hell. After confirming himself, he stalked towards the exit followed by Aezaj. Before getting out of there he spared a glance at the frightened girl.

It's almost midnight when he came to his home. After sending Ahmed to his right place, he went to his godfather. He had been with him the entire time when the funeral was held. He was angry with himself for not saving his bride. It's not like he did love Husna. It's his ego hurt at its peak. Because he was ashamed before all the people were not having his wedding. The great Adham Marwan failed to save his bride. That's a big shame in their mafia world.

As he was striding towards his room Zariyah called him from behind him.

“Adham.”

He didn't stop there and not even turn to look at the person who called him.

“Adham!” Zariyah called out.

“What the hell are you screaming?” Adham shouted not even thinking she was his mother.

“Mind your language. I am your mother.” Zariyah said as if warning though she knew that he wouldn't take her words.

“The hell I care.” He scoffed.

She knew that talking to him was not a fair thing. It would always bring her to the edge where she lost her all control. And that would lead to another fight between mother and son.

After taking a deep breath she continued, “That really doesn't matter now. Whether you care about what I say or not. But I do care about everything about you.” That's an indeed a fact. Because she was his mother.

“But I don't need your fucking care and love. And don't try to get into my life ever. Because you have no rights!” He said curtly as if the words were like swords.

“I have no rights?” Zariyah was suppressing the urge to cry as his unkind words deeply cut her heart.

“How can you say this? I am your mother. If you are staying here, it's just because of me. I gave birth to you--” Before she could even complete what she wanted to say he interrupted.
