Chapter two

The next morning I got up at 8am, I wasn't ready to get up nor was I ready to today.

I wanted to sleep the whole morning away, but I had to go to work.

I worked as an assistant at the MEA building. I usually caught myself cleaning the shelves or organizing the papers together and getting them ready for the meetings that happened most days.

"Goodmorning" My friend Chloe beamed as she walked in

I glanced over at her briefly, flashing her a smile before continuing to prepare my coffee.

Mornings like this is what I loved the most when it comes to work, even though I always have trouble getting up from bed.

I walked out of the little kitchen area as I went into my bosses office to give hand a cup of coffee as well. I sat down on the seat by the window and just went into my own little world again enjoying this amazing vanilla cream coffee.

I was always full with imaginations.

I smiled to myself as I hauled myself up from the seat to go begin on the paper work.

Chloe and I were going to be organizing papers for the people that were going to be seeing which teachers they will be having come up here to teach the students for the whole year.

Not long after the both of us went for our break, We went to the resturant which wasn't so far away.

We ordered the usual, a bacon and egg sandwich with orange juice.

Chloe went to go find us seats while I waited for our order. it wasn't long till i had to wait, I got our breakfast and went to go find out where she was sitting.

By the window, My favourite spot.

We began to eat and just talk about more random things, I listened to her go on about the most embarrasing stories someone could ever hear about.

"I think we should go for a walk" Chloe suggested after we were done with our meal.

"Sure" I smiled, getting up from my seat and continued to walk out of the resturant.

Chloe and I made our way down the hill and headed towards the lake, we both noticed the time by the time we got to the lake and thought we should start getting back to work.

It was such a nice beautiful morning, I wish I could spend days like this in the woods.

The both of us kept going until a truck was trailing down the road. Chloe and I both stopped in our tracks and waited for it to pass by.

I stood there observing, while Chloe was of course still talking away.

He drove by looking, It was a unfamiliar guy who will be possibly working with Mark.

I stared blankly at him as he slid his shades on and ran his long fingers through his hair.

"Are you listening to me?" Chloe question, hitting my arm softly, breaking me out of my thoughts and leaving me flustered.

I shook my head "Sorry, what was that?"

"Nevermind, let's just go" Chloe says nonchalantly as she continues to walk ahead.

"Did you see that guy driving the truck?" I asked, keeping my gaze at the dirt road.

She laughed "Yeah, It's just another loser."

it wasn't so cool to laugh about that I thought-nibbling at my lip anxiously .

Chloe stopped me "why aren't you laughing with me? he's probably here to ruin more lives just like Mark and some of those other workers did."

I lift my head up to meet her gaze, noticing her confused expression, "I don't think it's funny to be calling a human being a loser." I informed as I start walking again.

We finally got back to the MEA and just went into the back room to sit around and chat more.

I decided to fetch my phone out to check out the world's number 1 website 'Facebook'.

The both of us killed time until lunch time. I made my way back towards the resturant and waited for the other girls to show up. I picked the table by the window.

"Hey, so what should we all eat for lunch today?" Ashley sat down and placed her bag on the floor.

"Im thinking pizza" Deena popped out of no where and took a seat as well.

"Hottie alart" Chloe walked in pointing out the window.

The 3 of us looked out the window and saw Mark, along with the new guy.

Clair came around and sat down without saying a word.

"What's wrong?" Ashley asked curiously.

Clair lift her head off the table and looked at all 4 of us. "I think Mark is leaving town."

We all looked at eachother then continued to look out the window.

"Do you think this guy is taking Mark's place" Deena asked.

I shrugged my shoulders in an I dont know position.

The girl's and I contiued to eat, but barley talked.

After lunch we did the usual and just went back to our jobs, It was only 3 hours away until we got to have our freedom and get off work.

It was starting to get really hot outside, luckily the day was almost over.

I decided to just grab my stuff and head on out so I could go home and relax.

I wanted to drink a coca-cola, So i decided to make my way to the store.

Once i got there i walked towards the pop section and grabbed what I was craving for.

I smiled while holding the nice cold drink in my hand, wanting to have a shot of it already.

I got to the cash register and handed the drink to the worker to scan, thats when I looked to my right and saw that new guy talking to someone. "My name is Carter" I could hear him say to the manager.

He turned his head and faced my way, so I turned my head and looked away hoping he didn't notice me starring.

I grabbed my change and walked out of the store. not long after I saw my truck coming so I waved it down and got picked up, making my way home.

Finally.
