Chapter three

Days begin to fly pass and I haven't talked to the girls in a while. I just didn't feel the need to get into talking the way they talk about other people. honestly, I don't think they know people have feelings too.

I push the thoughts away as I head to my car and step inside of it, twisting the key in the ignition. Once I heard the sweet noise of the engine beginning, I quickly grabbed my phone out to pick a song from my playlist. I let out a hiss as the screen freezes before setting it back down in the cup holder and proceeded to back out of my driveway, glancing left to right from the side mirror before starting to head out to the location.

Thoughts came back to my mind while I was driving, honestly I think this is the only time I can think straight. One of my favourite songs came on the radio which was called "More than this" by One Direction. Now I know it wasn't the best song to everyone but the words is what I liked about the song.

Finally I got to the daycare center to pick up Diana. It wasn't long until she walked out of the bulding and made her way into the truck.

"How was your day?" Diana asked sweetly while getting into the drivers seat as I slide to the passenger side.

"Uhm, It was good" I lied, not knowing what to say.

She chuckled then kept her eye on the road. "I met that new guy 2 days ago, he asked if I wanted to join his workout group" Diana mumbled.

I glanced over at her slowly and rolled my eyes in annoyance. "what's his name?" I ask knowingly.

"His name is Carter, He seems nice." Diana shrugged simply , turning up the music that was playing idly.

I slouched back onto the seat as my eyes lazily go to the window, watching as the sky creates a beautiful orange and pink sunset.

There wasn't very good music on to get into the mood on thinking, so i just decided to start another conversation instead of it having to be so quiet and awkward.

My siblings and I barley talked or atleast I barley talk to them because i'm always out and about with my friends, so I wouldnt know what my siblings are up to now a days.

"When time do you have to go workout?" I inquired

She took her eye off the road briefly and looked at me "at 6 o'clock, why do you want to drop me off?"

I didn't really want too, but then my parents probably wouldn't allow her to use the truck for a long time. As they would need the truck too. I didn't see why though, we had 2 vehicles.

"Sure" I quickly agreed as our house came in view.

I placed my hand on the handel and pushed the door open while I got out. I ran my fingers through my hair so my hair wouldn't get in my way while walking.

I placed my bag on the floor once I entered my room and grabbed my phone out. I checked to see if any of my friends were online, so we could meet up this evening.

Nope, none of them were on. Maybe i'll just find them in town later on tonight.

"Stella, you ready to drop me off?" Diana yelled from the kitchen.

I got up from my bed and grabbed my bag before leaving my room. "yeah".

The both of us walked out of the house and into the truck, Diana started the engine and started to back up out of the drive way. I decided to put a song on while we made our way to the gym.

Maybe this would be my chance to talk to Carter as I was going to be dropping my sister off and we weren't that far from the gym now.

Should I introduce myself or should I just leave it and never introduce myself. My mind was filled with so much thoughts, I didn't really like it.

He looked mean and scary, but maybe Diana is right. What if he actually is nice. Unless hes just pretending.

I rolled my eyes and noticed we were now at the gym.

Diana pulled in and put the handel on park.

I got out of the passenger seat and walked around the truck to get into the drivers seat. I lift my self up and sat there while my sister Diana quickly grabbed her running shoes and water.

I looked back and saw Carter sitting in his truck. I didn't bother to introduce myself, it was probably going to be a waste of time anyways. So i drove off right after my sister grabbed her stuff.

Music started to play in the background as I was still thinking. I should have just introduced myself, now this is going to bother me. It looks like I'll never meet him now, but ohwell why should I care. He's just another guy who is here to ruin lives and do his job.

I shook my head, I didn't really want to go home yet. I wanted to go for a ride, so i did. I drove by my street and made my way into town. Hoping I would atleast see one of my friends hanging around.

I drove by the hang out spot but didn't see no one. They were probably out drinking or getting high as always. I drove round the block and just decided to go home instead.

I stopped at the stop sign and put my blinkers on, Until I noticed a truck coming. It was Carter and Diana. I was about to put my foot on the gas to drive but then I noticed Carter rolling down his window.

Maybe he wanted to talk or ask something. I didn't know what to do, I turned down the music and rolled down my window too.

"we forgot the keys to the building" Carter laughed.

I looked pass him and saw Diana laughing too "It's his fault for forgetting them".

Smiling was all I could do, I didn't know what to say. So i just did a small giggle and smiled.

"Okay we better get going" Carter rolled up his window and said bye.

He looked kind of nervous and shy, but he totally seemed like a real nice guy.

Why does a girl my age always like guys his age. Like why can't there ever be guys my age that cute or handsome.

It was annoying.

Finally I was at home and did the same thing, Went to my room while placing my bag on the floor and pulling my phone out checking if any of my friends was online. still nothing. I gave up.

I walked out side onto the padio and just sat there enjoying the nice warm breeze along with the sunset coming around.

"hey" Clair came out of the corner scaring me.

I jumped "what are you doing?" I said still freaked out, but then ended up laughing.

While getting up from the padio I saw the other girls comes out of the corner and made their way closer to me.

"We just came from town, we should go party tonight" Ashley took a seat while waiting for me to answer to her response.

"Really?" I rasied my eyebrow.

I didn't really want to drink they always had drama coming around when it came to drinking.

"Yeah, it will be fun. We should go crash a party afterwards, plus it's friday" Chloe spoke.

Just then a vehicle was pulling in.

"What is he doing here?" Deena said getting up from the seat she was sitting on

I looked over at the truck and saw Diana getting out of the passenger seat.

"Diana got invited to go workout with him, I think he's trying to make friends" I lightly smiled.

Ashley laughed "Why would anyone want to be his friend?" She joked.

"Sometimes it's nice to meet new people, but not all the time" Clair blurted out.

We all stood there in awkwardness and silence as we watched him drive off.
