My graduation ceremony concluded. I got in a taxi making way towards my home. I looked out of the window and the wind sweeping its cold on my skin gave me goosebumps.
Dropping a tear, I thought I would remember all of this one day and say "I lived".
I looked at my city, the street lights made the city shine it's beauty throughout the night.
I reached home. I rang the door bell, my parents opened the door greeting me with a warm smile on their faces. I went in for a hug later walked in. My legs guided me straight to my bedroom and finally I could get some good rest.
After sleeping for a while, I finally decided it's the time.
I walked to the living room as I noticed my parents sitting on the couch. Our conversation was,
"Mum and dad, I have something to discuss with both of you".
"Sure. Sit here. Tell us, what is it?" My dad asked as he patted on the couch.
After joining them on the couch I spoke out saying,
"Mum and dad, as you both know now I have graduated from my law school. And as I had spoke with you both back then, I want to take a break now. I want to go somewhere far where I can rest peacefully. I am twenty two years old, I think I can manage to travel on my own. So can you please grant me the permission to go somewhere for some weeks? Or maybe few months? Please?".
My both parents took a pause and said,
"Are you sure that you can manage everything all on your own in an unknown place?" My dad asked."Dad, I am 22years old" I said.
"You are lazy enough not to do laundry by yourself, do you think you can do everything there?" My mum questioned while taunting at me.
"Of course I can. Please mum and dad. Please?" I requested acting little cute.
"Okay but where do you wanna go actually? Is there any place in your mind that you want to travel to?" My dad asked.
"Yes. South Korea" I replied.
"Wait, are you going there for your idols?" My mum asked me raising her eyebrow.
"Umm.. You can say that's one of the reasons from the list" I said.
"Okay then, if you wanna go there so much, then I will handle the documents, visa, plane tickets and keep your passport ready" My dad said giving me a great relief.
"Yess!! I love you mum and dad!" I hugged them both being cheered up.
I couldn't get proper sleep throughoutyesterday as I was so excited to go to South Korea!
The time arrived..
The day I was going to fly abroad all by myself. I woke up early morning at six. And started to get ready by taking my own good time. I had my flight at two in the afternoon.
After packing my bags, getting ready, making sure I had packed all stuff properly and I had my breakfast. I was all ready to fly to South Korea.
My Indian mum almost packed one whole bag of snacks and sweets which half of it obviously could not be taken along with me due to the rules of airport.
Indian society ofcourse, all my neighbours had come to wish me a happy journey and my relatives through phone calls until I reached the airport. I had to go in now, all that I could hear was,
"Aisha! Have a safe flight. And call me once you reach there." Shouted my mum from a distant.
"Okay mum. Bye dad." I waved at them and got into the security check which went fine. After an hour or two of waiting, we could finally board our plane.
