How can I let thee know my deep desire;
When all the world and heaven knows but thee?
When melt gets my tongue, like wax on fire?
Perhaps find I a way to let thee see,
Will thy dear heart be guaranteed to mine?
Will I kiss thy tender lips at last?
Oh courage come to me, let my love shine
And bring happiness unto my love fast.
And if my love to thee shall prove futile;
Can Earth with all its glory compensate?
Or better for my heart stop still?
But mine love even death could not sedate.
So pursue I will thaw thy heart of ice;
For me to not love thee, truth become lies.
