*** (Samantha talks with Teruko)After being separated from Ken, Samantha was escourted in silence in a black truck , armed soldiers sitting next to her and opposite.
"You realise this is a crime?" She asked her captors spitefully, but none of them replied. They only spoke when it was time to order her around.
After a half hour trip Samantha was led out into a carpark and then up an old looking elevator to a floor that looked old and out of use. She was taken to a small room and then, after being handcuffed, left inside, the door locked.
The room had no furniture save a holopad that lay on the floor, and only a faint light illuminated the room from above.
Samantha sighed at her predicament and sat down. It wasn't long before the holopad turned itself on and the air began to shimmer. There stood a young girl the same age as herself, dressed fashionably but wearing a serious expression.
"Samantha Kang." The girl said simply.
"Who are you?" Samantha asked, annoyed.
"My name is Teruko. I'm the one who ordered you to be brought here."
"So you're an accomplice of Ken? Great. But why don't you come and talk to me yourself? Too scared that you have to talk through a holopad?"
"Certainly not." Teruko replied, smiling. "I am a synthsou, that's why i use this tool to talk to you. Do you know what a synthsou is?"
"I've heard of it. One of those machine beings the NSA is responsible for, right? But if you're one of them, why are you out here? Did you manage to escape from your little cage somehow?"
"Hmph. I don't know about NSA's relationship with synthsous, but i never belonged to that dubious group. I was born free and will remain free."
"Whatever. So what do you want from me?"
"Exactly that. Everything you know about the synthsous and the NSA. What are they, how are they created, what are they used for, everything."
"Like hell i will."
"Oh? You want someone to come and point a gun at your head again? You can be pretty cocky but i've seen how you react when trouble hits."
Samantha was quiet for a bit. For sure, her threats were not fake. At any moment she could send in one of those soliders and do whatever she wanted. But it wasn't as simple as that.
"Even if i wanted to," Samantha said, "i don't know. I'm not an employee. I only know what i've heard from my father."
"Lets start with that then." Teruko replied firmly.
Samantha stated with annoyance at Teruko for a short time but eventually gave in and opened her mouth.
"Fine. I'll tell you what I know."
*** (Ken talks with his father)
The car stopped in the carpark and a man moved to his door to let him out.
"Thanks." Ken said. "I'll be going then."
"Master Teruko asked us to escourt you back to the compound." The man said. "We wil wait for you here."
"Oh?"
"Sorry." Teruko said, speaking in his earpi suddenly. "Its still too dangerous to let you stay at home for now. I hope you don't mind."
