Alastor x Child!Reader
———Of all demons, Charlie had chosen Alastor to watch you since he seemed the most responsible and suitable for the job. He could most certainly protect you if another demon tried anything, so what was there to worry about?
Well... for starters, he creeped you out big time. That smile of his, while most saw it as friendly (or absolutely maniacal in some cases), just didn't sit well with you. Not to mention that he didn't have a diddly darn clue as to how to care for a child.
You spent the first five minutes alone with him hiding under his bed since you were small enough to squeeze yourself into that space. You could hear him walking around, occasionally humming a little tune as he searched for you. After a moment, his footsteps ceased and suddenly, his smiling face appeared right in front of you.
"There you are, darling! I was wondering where you were hiding!" He chuckled, the grin never leaving his face. "Come on out now, you can't stay under there forever!"
You whined, kicking and screaming when he stuck his arm under the bed and gently grabbed you by the arm. Despite your efforts, he managed to pull you out from under the bed and held you up in the air. Of course, since you were quite young, you just started crying because you didn't know what else to do.
"Oh dear. It seems I have upset you, haven't I?" Alastor said, tilting his head as he watched you cry. He seemed to be confused as to what he should do.
"Jesus Christ! What is making all that racket— Oh, hey Al." Angel Dust poked his head into the room, his original scowl soon replaced by a confused expression. "Who's the kid?"
Alastor shrugged, still holding you up while you continued crying. "I'm not quite sure. Charlie wanted me to.. um.... what's the term?"
"Babysit?"
"Yes! Yes, she wanted me to babysit this... child. I have no idea how to stop it from crying, though."
"Uh... maybe it's hungry?" Angel Dust suggested, folding both sets of arms across his chest. He actually seemed fairly concerned for once even though he felt like laughing at Alastor.
Alastor nodded in agreement and held you close to his chest, ignoring the fact that you were now getting tears and drool all over his suit. "To the kitchen, then!" He exclaimed, whisking you out the door and down the hall towards the kitchen.

"What do kids like to eat, anyways?" Angel Dust asked as he watched Alastor pace back and forth. You had been placed on the counter and had since stopped crying. Now you were just watching both demons with a fearful expression. "We could give it alcohol."
"That's not food nor is it appropriate for a child!" Alastor scolded, shaking his head.
"Well what d'ya want me to say?! I have no idea how to take care of kids! Let's just give it something and see what it does!"
Alastor huffed and rolled his eyes, deciding to just go with what Angel Dust had said. He sifted through the cabinets and pantry until he found a bag of chips that were unopened. He dropped it beside you and stepped back. "Alright. Go ahead and eat, dearie."
You stared at the bag for a moment and sniffed, grabbing it with your chubby little fingers and tearing the top open. You looked inside and took a chip out, examining it for just a second before shoving it in your mouth. A big grin appeared on your face and you continued shoving your face with chips.
"See! I told you the kid was hungry!" Angel Dust laughed at Alastor, elbowing his side.
Alastor just sighed. Taking care of children was definitely not his forte...
Hopefully Charlie wouldn't be too upset that he had fed you chips instead of a real meal.
