chapter three - the disclosed

Heading out of the bathroom, the two head to lunch. The halls are empty, due to them leaving about 5 minutes before the gym class heads out.

"Is this really necessary?" HDG asks, walking next to Gumball. He looks up at him, and then back down the hall.

"Probably not, but I felt like leaving. Being in there was horrible," Gumball says, as they make it to the lunch room. Only a couple of early students are there. Gumball scans the room for Darwin, but he isn't in there yet. Then, he remembers he has to talk to Tobias.

"Hey, I gotta talk to Tobias. He's freaked out about some secret," Gumball says, looking up at HDG. HDG nods, and he walks over to his table. He pulls out his phone, sitting down on the grey blue seats. He pulls up Elmore Plus, and looks at the stories. Tobias, Leslie, Misami, all doing fun stuff in their classes. He leans on his hand, and sighs. He knew it was going to take a while for Tobias and Gumball to be back. He just scrolls through the social media and stares down at the table.

Gumball walks out to the back of the school. His jacket is barely helping him in the cold weather, his shivering skin is littered with goosebumps. The wind sends chills through his veins. It's probably going to rain soon. He checks his phone, then puts it back into his pocket.

"Hey-" He hears a voice behind him. He jumps and turns around. Tobias stands there, his face slightly pink. He didn't know if it was from the cold or some other cause. Tobias wouldn't even make eye contact with him. He knew for a fact it was something else and not the cold.

"So?" Gumball says. Tobias is silent, rubbing his arm. Gumball stares at him in confusion. He notices his fidgeting hand and shifted and distant look.

"Are you going to say anything? I gotta meet up with Darwin and HD-" Gumball starts.

"Yeah-" He blurts out, his face red. Gumball looks at him, surprised. He looks at him in pure confusion. What did this boy want? He knew he has to meet up with HDG and Darwin soon. Hell, he was one of the first ones that found out about HDG and Gumball dating.

"I-uh... I'm..." Tobias starts, his hands fidgeting and playing with one of his hoodie strings. "I'm..." Tobias tries saying, his words almost coming out of his mouth but being unable to escape.

"Dude, just spill it," Gumball says. Tobias looks up, slightly uncomfortable. His face is at the constant pink. Gumball was getting slightly fed up.

"I doubt it was easy when you did it-" He blurts out. Tobias' face suddenly gets red, and looks away. Gumball suddenly gets what's going on.

"You're gay?" Gumball asks. Tobias suddenly looks up. He looks insulted.

"No! I like both-"

"Oh, so you're bi?" Gumball asks. Tobias nods his head. The insulted look on his face turns to stress, which Gumball wants to fix as fast as he possibly could.

"Oh, nice!" He says. Tobias sighs, and smiles slightly. He looks down, the tint of his face dying down and his face turns to relief.

"That wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be," He says. Gumball smiles reassuringly. He puts his hand on his shoulder.

"When you said you were ashamed, I thought it was something much worse. Don't be ashamed for who you are, be someone who you know you are," Gumball says. "Now, let's go inside. It's freezing out here."

"Hey!!" Gumball says, bouncing into the seat next to HDG. Tobias follows shortly, sitting down next to them. The smile on his face was great, and HDG found this amusing, especially with the circumstances. He smiles at the small boy.
