Zim and Dib sat on the couch watching Star Wars. It was supposed to be relaxing, but Zim put an end to that quickly. Every second or so, he would critisize something about the movie. Whether it would be how everything worked or information about aliens. Now, the Star Wars franchise wasn't necessarily good. If anything, it was slightly above average.

However, Dib would've much rather watched it than listen to the Irken's constant rambling.

"Zim, can't you just watch the movie?" He asked with a sigh. The alien had been ranting for a good 40 minutes, and now seemed like a good time to stop him.

"Of course not! This disgraceful piece of garbage doesn't deserve any of Zim's enjoyment! It doesn't deserve any of yours either!" He crossed his arms. "I'm surprised you're even able to watch it!"

"It's not that bad, you're just exaggerating." Zim stuck his tongue out at him, causing Dib to do the same. "You're lucky I'm even staying here. If it weren't raining outside, I would've left a long time ago."

Zim gave him a condescending look. "But you didn't, did you?" Dib sighed. "Nope. And what a mistake that was," he muttered.

"Oh please, you shouldn't be upset in Zim's presence! You should be happy! If anything, I should've kicked you out a long time ago!"

"You wouldn't."

"I would!"

"Wouldn't."

"Most definitely would!"

The Irken crossed his arms. "I'm feeling like it right now!" Dib shrugged and leaned back on the couch. "Wouldn't...." he whispered. He knew exactly what he was doing, and Zim knew that.

"That's it!" He yelled as he pounced at the human. He tried scratching at him, but was instead pinned to the ground. Both of his hands were resting next to him. "I win!" Dib gave off a victorious grin, causing Zim to growl. "You didn't win anything! The almighty Zim is always supreme!"

"Testing your luck, spaceboy?" Zim blushed and looked away. The human was right above him with a stupid smirk. Oh how he wanted to wipe it off his face. That would be doing everyone a favor, since he was so ugly.

Well, okay... maybe he wasn't that ugly. Dib was tall and pretty well built, mostly from chasing him around all of the time. And it wouldn't be too bad to say that under different circumstances they could've been closer.

Wait...

"Aren't you gonna say something? A snarky remark maybe?" He asked the Irken. His smirk never seemed to cease. "I'd rather not waste my breath on you." Dib chuckled. "You're just saying that~"

Ugh. That stupid tone of voice. He hated it so much, and that was why Dib used it so much. Every time he spoke in the degrading voice, all Zim wanted to do was choke him. That, or use his pak legs to stab him repeatedly. It made him feel lesser than the human, which was clearly wrong. He was SUPERIOR! All of mankind should be bowing down to almighty Zim!

At least, that's what he thought.

He jabbed him on the shoulder, clearly irked. "Shut up you-"

Dib was trying his best to stifle his laughs, causing Zim to raise a non-existant eyebrow. What caused him to laugh? What did he find funny? Oh...

He had forgotten about humans being ticklish. It wasn't really an important thing until now. He slowly raised his arm and started tickling the human violently.

"Wait, ha! Stop!"

Dib couldn't stop himself from laughing. He tried moving away from Zim as he caught his breath, but it wasn't working. If he didn't do anything soon, he would pass out soon from the lack of oxygen. He was already getting dizzy at the moment. So Dib started tickling Zim too, making him laugh as well.

"No! Curse you human!" He giggled, causing him to stop tickling the other. "I'm winning! Just like I always do!" Dib yelled enthusiastically. He kept going until tears started forming in Zim's eyes. "Oh Irk, ha! Okay, okay, you can stop-ha! Just stop!"

Dib shook his head. "Not until you say the magic word." Zim groaned and was about to complain before he was tickled harder. "Alright! Please- ha! Please stop tickling me!"

The second he finished his sentence, the sensation that was once felt left his body. He heaved a sigh of relief. "I hated that so much..."

"Come on, it wasn't that bad! You're just being dramatic," Dib spoke as he sat back on the couch. "So, are we going to finish this movie or not?" Zim huffed. "I guess... but I'm not going to like it," he complained as he sat next to him.

Throughout the movie, Dib couldn't help but glance at the other. And each time, he would tell himself that they were enemies. Not friends, not lovers, enemies. But still, that didn't stop him from continuously looking at the movie, and then back at him.

At one point, he decided to risk it all and put his arm around his shoulder. Zim was of course confused of what the gesture meant, but he refused to show it. So for a good half hour, they sat in awkward silence. Then, the movie finally finished.

"Well, that wasn't that bad, was it-"

Dib looked to his right to see Zim's head resting on his shoulder. He wasn't asleep or anything, just kind of staring into space.

At any point, he could've told him to get off his shoulder, or even push him off. But instead, he found it quite comfortable as well, so he stayed silent and enjoyed the peace between them.

In fact, it was so peaceful, that they fell asleep together, even after the rain had stopped.
