In the horrible wasteland we call pandora we see a guy in a black suit looking kinda lost. He had brown hair, a robotic arm and one echo eye

He turns around as the device in his hand starts beeping faster. He is met with a person in full body armor
???: Fiona? What, is there some sort of radiation leak I don't know abou---
He gets knocked out by the man with a shotgun as his name appears in letters beside him

He wakes up tied up and being dragged by the same man
Rhys: what is happening right now?
MM(mysterious man): I ask the questions?
Rhys: okay... do you mind asking yourself what you are doing
The MM stops dragging him and goes over then kicked him in his side
Rhys: ooh ah owww! What the hell?
MM: tell me about the Gortys project
Rhys: Is that what this is about? Look, Gortys is bad business. If you want a real hot investment, I am on a ground floor of some property on Eden--
MM cocks his shot gun and pointed it to Rhys's crotch making him cower
MM: Don't be a smart-ass. I'm not a patient person, so just start talking
He picked his feet up again and stayed dragging him to somewhere
Rhys: just... where do you start when you're getting dragged trough the desert and uh....

Rhys: right.
Flash back
Rhys: I guess it all started with a promotion... See I'd spent my entire career up at Hyperion. So I suppose that makes me one of the bad guys in this story. And Handsome Jack, he was the baddest one of them all
As Rhys is looking out the window his friend continued on about some wierd shit
Rhys: and I wanted to be just like him. Everyone did! Which resulted in a company overflowing with assholes
They pass by a door with two midget bandits trying to stab each other. As its going on Hyperion employees are betting on which one will win. The two just kept walking like it was a normal day

Rhys: when Handsome Jack died it somehow got even worse. It took some time to fit in but a few stabs in select backs, a new haircut and with the help of a couple friends... I was on my way to get that promotion that was gonna change my life. Scratch that our lives.... for the better. I was a bit distracted, it was a big day for us. Luckily Vaughn was... concentrating on the important thing.
