I didn’t get much sleep. I kept tossing and turning. Finally, I just gave up on sleep and sat up in bed, grabbing a book and turning on my bedside table lamp. After I read a few chapters, it was around six in the morning, so I got up and showered and got dressed. I blew my hair dry and applied light foundation and mascara.

I slipped on a pair of shoes and walked out the door.

I turned around and promptly crashed into a chest. As I looked up, I saw Jasper looking down at me with a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes and brushed past him, going down to the kitchen. Jasper laughed and was following behind me.

As we neared the kitchen door, I heard a voice say, “And she just left! It was like I scared her.” I rolled my eyes. I didn’t know who it was, and I didn’t care. I was about to enter the room when I heard the voice continue, “That Jasmine is such a poser. She acts all bad and threatens people, but I bet she’s all talk and no game.”

I saw Jasper tense up next to me. I looked at him and shook my head, letting him know to let me handle this. He relaxed a bit, but not much.

I walked into the kitchen saying, “You’re in dangerous territory.” I glared at the three girls in the room. Three sluts glared back at me. I recognized the girl from the other day, the one who threatened me about Spencer. I think her name was Anna or something.

“See,” she said, waving a hand at me. “This is what I mean! This piece of trash thinks that it’s okay to threaten me, the future Luna!” I rolled my eyes.

You are the future Luna?” I asked her.

“Got a problem with that, rogue?” she taunted.

Oh, no one taunts me! I was about to go over there and bash her face in, but I calmed myself and just smirked at her. She looked at me nervously.

“Are you okay with the fact that no one likes you?” I asked her. “I mean, you act as if you don’t let it bother you, but how does it feel to be the most hated girl in the pack?” It was my turn to taunt, and I was not backing down. “I’ve been here a few days, and even now, I can tell that no one likes you.”

Mean? Yes. True? Yes. Emotionally scaring? I hoped so.

I smiled at her as she and her two Barbies stared at me. I grabbed an apple and walked out of the kitchen. Jasper smiled and started clapping. I rolled my eyes and shoved him. He laughed and led me to his car.

“No Molly?” I asked.

“Nope,” he said, shaking his head. “She, Spencer, James, and Kate are already graduated.”

I was excited that Kenzie wasn’t yet. Now I would know a few people instead of just my brother.  The ride there was silent, but it was comfortable. Jasper turned on the radio. I didn’t know much of the new music, but I definitely knew that auto tune was horrendous. It just computerized vocals, and personally, in my opinion, it was probably from people who couldn’t really sing in a normal voice.

As Jasper parked in the lot, the car was instantly surrounded by people. Before he could open the door, I asked, “How do you not drown?”

He chuckled and shook his head before reaching over and flicking my nose. I scrunched it up and he laughed again. “Some days are better than others,” he replied.

I rolled my eyes and got out of the car. As I closed the door, I was met with silence. I looked up and found several people staring at me, the guys with intrigue and lust, the girls with jealousy and hatred. I smirked at each of them and walked away from the car, on my way to the office to collect my schedule.
