3. Really? A Secret?

I woke up the next morning to Jasper shouting, “Wake up, baby sister!”

I growled at him and he laughed. “Not a morning person, I see. But don’t worry. Neither am I.” He laughed and threw a pillow at me. It hit my leg and I shot up. He laughed again and left, saying, “Mom left you some clothes by the door.”

I got up and went to the door and sure enough, there were the clothes.

It was a pair of white shorts, a grey ruffled tank top that matched my eyes, a pair of black ballet flats, and some silver jewelry.

I quickly showered and dressed in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I applied foundation, black eyeliner, and mascara. I looked at my hair. It was pin-straight, lucky me. I brushed it out and blew it dry.

I walked out of the bathroom and into my room, slipping on the shoes as I went. Jasper led me down two flights of stairs and into a family room area. Spencer, two other guys, and three girls were sitting in the room.

Everyone’s head shot up when I entered the room. They smelled a new werewolf. Jasper smiled at me and started introducing everyone. They smiled at me when their name was called.

He pointed to a blonde boy. “He’s Chris.” He turned to a redheaded boy. “He’s James.” I smiled at them and they returned it. “You met Spencer yesterday,” Jasper continued. He pointed to a blonde girl. “She’s Kenzie.” He pointed to a girl with curly brown hair. “She’s Molly.” He turned to the last girl. “And she’s Kate.”

He smiled at me and turned to everyone, saying, “Chris, James, Spencer, Kenzie, Molly, and Kate, this is my twin sister Jasmine.”

I couldn’t help what I said next. I said, “That was a mouth full.” It caused everyone to laugh, well, the guys chuckled and the girls giggled.

Kenzie stood up and bounced over to me as Jasper took a seat. “Hi,” she chirped. She smiled at my expression and said, “Relax. Everyone in here is super nice.”

I relaxed a bit and she pulled me over to where the girls were sitting. I took the time to examine them. Molly had curly brown hair with straight bangs across her forehead. Kate was a honey blonde with tan skin. Kenzie was a platinum blonde with big blue eyes.

I felt small compared to how beautiful these girls looked.

I zoned back in when Spencer said, “Alright, let’s hit it!” He clapped his hands once.

I stood up with Kenzie and the eight of us walked to outside. There were two cars ready and waiting. I knew that I’d probably end up in a car with Jasper, since as soon as we got outside, Kenzie and Kate went to one care with James and Chris.

Molly, Jasper, Spencer, and I went to another car. Molly and Jasper climbed into the backseat and Spencer climbed into the driver’s seat, leaving me with shotgun. I slipped into the seat and I saw Spencer tense next to me. I felt my own tension as we pulled away from the pack house.

The ride wasn’t silent, thanks to Molly. She was talking, asking me questions, and keeping me distracted from the undeniably hot stranger next to me. We pulled into the mall and got out, waiting for the others. They pulled up and we went into the mall.

Kenzie, Kate, and Molly were shocked to find out that I had one change of clothes. So, we split up from the boys and they went to the food court while we went from store to store. I knew that Jasper was to never leave my side, but I found something out.

He and Molly were mates. That was why he “trusted” me “alone”.

After leaving some store called Cara’s Closet, we were finally done. The girls had helped me pick out seven dresses, sixteen tops, five skirts, six jeans, eleven pairs of shorts, and about twelve pairs of shoes.
