Saturday
Keith's P.O.V.

Lance and I decided to take a short break from the project for a few minutes.

But that "short break" has now been going on for two hours.

We got carried away playing video games in my basement. I looked over at the clock to see that it's already four o'clock. Which means Lance is going to be leaving soon.

"Aha! I win!" Lance shouted, jumping up with his hands up in the air.

I just realized that I was just lost in thought, costing me the game. My attention wasn't focused on the game towards the end. Deciding to swallow my pride, I let him think I was trying.

I handed Lance his clothes back from yesterday by the time five twenty rolled around. "I washed them." I mentioned as he took the neatly folded pile from my hands.

"Thank you. That wasn't necessary."

I waved him off.

Lance chuckled. "So... I guess I'll change into these now."

"Uh right." I walked out of the room to give Lance some privacy.

We were parked in Lance's driveway.
I had just drove him home on my motorcycle.

We said our goodbyes, and I watched Lance as he made his way up to his front door. I wanted to make sure he got in safely. He remained standing in place, not moving.

Is he alright?

Suddenly, he turned around and smiled at me before running back up to me with his arms out. Before my mind could comprehend any of what was happening, He wrapped me in a tight embrace. A full on bear hug. "Thank you." He whispered just loud enough for me to hear.

He pulled away and let out some quiet laughs. "Um... see you." He waved his hand rapidly at me and ran inside his house.

I slowly brought up my hand and waved towards the front of his house.

That surprised me.

10:26 P.M.

I laid in bed, wearing nothing but my plaid boxers because I was quite warm.

I stared blankly at my phone screen that revealed mine and Lance's iMessages. I was trying to figure out what to text him.

You're overthinking this. Just say "hi" or something.

I exclaimed in frustration and turned my phone off. I rolled onto my other side, leaving my phone laying behind me.

I heard it vibrate twice. It does that when somebody texts me. I grabbed it instinctively to see what it was.

lance: Hey:)

Without even realizing it, a smile snuck onto my face. I immediately texted him back.

Me: hi
Me: i was just about to text you

lance: Thinking about me, r u?

Me: don't get ahead of yourself
