I place my hand on Cassy's bare abdomen and push her behind me. She sends me a confused look. I point my knife at my father.

"Get out." I growl. "Now!" I snarl. He scampers out of the room. I slam the door shut and lock it.

"Are you okay?" Cassy hugs me from behind placing her head on my back.

"Yeah I'm fine. Did he hurt you?" I ask turning around to her.

"No I'm fine." She smiles up at me.

"Come on we're getting out of here." I pick her up and place her on my bed then I grab a backpack. I hand her her boots. I stuff a cover, bandages, my gun, my knife, and other essentials into the bag. I then grab Cassy's hand. I pull her down the stairs. I can tell she's on high alert and has her knife out still. We get into my car and drive. She sits in the passenger seat next to me as I drive out of the garage. I park my car near the Second Country entrance. She leads me to a gap in the wall and we walk into the Second Country. We head to the Third Country as we run into the night. The sun starts to come up as we make it to the Third Country. We slip through the wall.

"Urgh!" She yells frustrated.

"Hey, hey what's wrong?" I ask her as I see her problem.

"My hair always gets caught on the wall. I hate having long hair!" She whines.

"Hey I love your long hair. Hold still." I gently untangle the few strains that were caught on the jagged stone.

"Thanks." She flushes looking up at me.

"No problem." I bend down and kiss her before we run to the den. She crawls into the den and then I do the same. I set the backpack down and cuddled up to her. He cuddles back and passes out.

I wake up and Cassy's gone. I sat up abruptly looking for her. I walk around outside the den looking for her.

"Cassy where are you?" I ask her through mate-link.

"I'm doing my job in the Second Country. They put bombs inside the pack house. There are so many wolves." She sighs. I take off running to the Second Country pack house to find Cassy. Everyone was buzzing around the packhouse.

"It's gonna blow!" Cassy screamed in my head and out loud. I grabbed three kids and ran.

"Run!" I screamed and most of the other wolves ran in panic. At least they weren't near the packhouse. I looked back when I realized I was far enough. Cassy came out holding a girl with light brown and a smaller girl with black hair. She pushed them away holding each other. This caused them to go forward and her backward a little as she continued to fly in the air. She then crashed to the Earth a few feet away from me. The two girls got up fine just a little dizzy. Cassy didn't move. A man came running from the other direction towards Cassy while I still ran to her. She lay unconscious on the ground.

The man reached Cassy first and pulled out a gun. I pulled out my gun and shot him twice before he pulled the trigger he fell backwards dazed. He healed within a few minutes, but I was next to Cassy by then. I growled at him and pulled out my knife. He charged again and I stabbed him right in the throat.

"Is she alright?" Asked the light brown haired girl she saved. She had snuck up on me while I stabbed the man.

"I'm not sure." I said as I felt for a pulse. "Stephen, I need your help to come to the pack house of the Second Country as fast as you can please." I beg Stephen through mind-link.

"Sure thing man, I'll be there as soon as possible." Stephen ends the mind-link. I look and see the girl search for Cassy. She presses down on her skin in multiple places. When she presses where Cassy's ribs are Cassy groans. Cassy has a gash on her stomach that's not too deep.

"I'm here." Stephen jogs up to us out of breath.

"She has about two broken ribs and quite a few scratches and bruises. Maybe a mild concussion." The girl looks up to me.

"How-" I ask with a daze of confusion.

"I'm a doctor in training." She cuts me off. "My name is Riley I can bandage her up if you want?" Riley asks.

"I can help. My name is Stephen. I'm a Jr. doctor." Stephen put his hand on the girl's shoulder and her head flew to look at him. They gazed into eachothers eyes peacefully. They then looked at Cassy and started to work as they conversed about medical things.

"Here, make sure she stays off her feet for a few days. Meet me here tomorrow. I'll give you some pain pills for her." Stephen said. He then helped Riley up and held onto her.

"Thank you." I say to both of them. I lift Cassy up bridal style and her head falls slack on my arm. I walk away to the hole in the wall. I set her on her feet. I go through the hole and slightly drag her with me. I then pick her back up and walk to the den. I lay her down with her head in my lap. Her face had a bandage on it. Her torso was wrapped in a bandage wrap.

"Please be okay." I kiss her forehead and pull out the blanket I packed. I laid it on her gently then I leaned against the wall. I closed my eyes peacefully.
