Jo

I woke up to Joy's feet in my face. I scrunched my face up and sat up and looked around I winced as bubba kicked me in the stomach real hard.

"what's wrong?" I asked as I rubbed my belly. I got up and opened the door and Lucas was right there.

"I figured you were in here." he said as he tried to look into the room.

"It's just Joy Pryce slept in the living room." I said as I closed the door.

"Oh." He said.

"when did you ge-

I stopped and winced as I touched my stomach.

"You good." He asked as he touched my shoulder.

"yeah bubba jus been moving around a lot lately." I said as I took a few deep breaths.

"Nah come with me." He said as he took my hand I followed him into our room he moved the blankets and laid me down and put it over me and sat down as he rubbed my stomach. Bubba liked his touch because he calmed down.

"bubba likes your touch." I said as I closed my eyes as I relaxed. He chuckled.

"what's up with you and this name bubba?" he asked as he continued to rub my belly.

"I thought it was a cute little nickname." I said as I opened my eyes.

"it's gay." he said as he took my socks off. I quickly put them under the covers and sat up.

"whatchu doin?" he asked as he laughed.

"no what are YOU doing." I said.

"you act like I've never seen your toes before."

"there ugly." I said In embarrassment. He smacked his lips and uncovered my feet and examined them.

"they look good to me." He said as he held them up we both laughed and he looked down and began massaging my feet.

"Look Jo I'm sorry for lashing out on you, I don't know what went down between you and jaylen so I have no room to judge." he said. I nodded.

"thanks, I'm sorry for not telling you the whole truth." I said.

"it doesn't matter about what he did, your parents had no right to kill the person you love." he said as he shrugged.

"loved." I said correcting him.

"I forgive my parents I forgive my family all I want is for bubba to come into this world with peace and knowing he is loved by his family." I said. He nodded in agreement.

"Speaking of that I was hoping you would consider talking to Gigi again." he said. I looked at him like he lost his mind.

"I know you and Gigi got beef but can you both put it to aside for the sake of bubba?" he said. Lucas is actually changing for the better and I have to give him that I'm not about to be buddy buddy with Gigi but I will drop me beef for the sake of our family.

"yeah I can do that." I said as I nodded.

"also you need to calm down and stop stressing yourself out I know that ain't healthy for my son." He said as he put my feet down.

"alright doctor." I said.

"ion want nothing more than for you and bubba to be healthy alright." he said as he patted my leg. I nodded and we both got up.

"Thank you Lucas your gonna be a good dad." I said as I wrapped my arms around him. He didn't hug me back at first but he eventually gave in with his mean ass.
