Kingston

me, Lesi, and my moms sat across of Lucas and his girlfriend and wife . He invited us to breakfast at his house to catch up .

"how are y'all ?" he asked and I looked at Lesi .

"we're okay doing better ." she said with a smile .

"my name is gigi Lucas's wife and your Kingston your dad has told me so much about you ." Gigi said with a small smile .

"and I'm jade Lucas's girl friend ." She said while eying jade .

"play nice ." He said as he eyed the both of them and my mama cleared her throat as she sipped orange juice .

"Josephine." Gigi said .

"what ."

"let's get down to business ? Wanna tell me why we weren't allowed to see the kids ?" she asked , and Lucas put his arm around both of them while looking at her with a smirk .

"it ain't yo business that's a conversation for me and Lucas ." she said as she sat her drink down .

"Watch her she loves to throw drinks at people ." Gigi said as she picked up her glass . I looked at my mom and looked at Lucas .

"I didn't want to see you." I said low and they looked at me .

"Bubba you don't have to answer to none of them if Lucas wants to know he can know when we are alone this is family business ." My mama said as she clenched her jaw as she looked at them ,

"it's ok ma, lu...dad..um.. I didn't want to see you in there you know not because I didn't want to know you I didn't want to be part of that life you were living ." I said as I looked at him .

"Lucas jo raised us , she made sure we knew who you were , it was our choice not to see you not because you were bad but because she wanted us to have a normal life she told us that's what you would have wanted for us ." Honor said and he looked at her and cleared his throat .

"your right, that's exactly what i wanted for the both of you ." He said .

"dad ." I said .

"yes?"

"I don't want to inherit the business, I like basketball that's what I want to do with my life . I want you in my life too but-

"she raised you well ." he said while laughing . "I wasn't gonna give you the business bubba never was ." he said with a small smile and I chuckled I felt like a weight was off of my shoulders I got everything off of my chest except one thing .

"Can I ask you for a favor?" I asked ,

"wassup ." he said while drinking his orange juice ,

"I don't want you to hurt Pryce or Cortez there family I want them in my life like I want you in my life ," I said and he choked and jade and gigi began patting him on his back ,

"that's a complicated situation ." Lucas said while coughing.

"yeah very complicated." Honor said while burning  a whole in my head. 

"we're family , family got to stick together we need to let the past be the past ." I said as I looked around the table and honor got up and stormed off .

"Lesi ." My mama called out .

"fine, on one condition." He said with his finger up.

"anything ." I said .

"I want you and honor to move in with me." He said and my mama scoffed .
