Tomioka's childhood house, a few moments before...

You and your friends were chilling in the house, playing some random games as Nezuko started at the sunset, thinking about her brother. You knew she was clearly worried, especially when Tanjirou is her only family left. Makomo and Sabito were playing their favorite temari ball, sitting in the middle of the room as you watched the kids play. Your kimono was pretty ripped because of your first fight with that demon you encountered near Tanjirou's house. It still does keeps you warm, but it would be embarrassing to roam around public with holes in your clothes.

It has been days since you dressed like a homeless person (since the first fight). You've asked the ghost children about some needles and threads, but they didn't have any. So, there was nothing you can do for now. Looking at Nezuko, you eventually came up to her, then sat down behind her to wrap your hands around her warm body. Nezuko craned her head to look at you, you smiled, and received a gentle touch on your cheek from Nezuko. "Mmn." Hummed Nezuko.

"You miss him?" You asked.

"Mmn. Mmn." Nezuko nodded.

"Me too. And I haven't even introduce myself properly to you guys." You brushed your fingers down Nezuko's hair, "Kanae Kochō." you said softly, "that's my name."

Nezuko stared at you for several seconds, before she twisted her body around, now facing you, and hid her face underneath your holed, kimono sleeves. She rested her chin on your lap, and shrunk, getting smaller and smaller until she resembled a 5-year-old. You blinked in surprise, knowing one of Nezuko's ability. When you rose your hand to see Nezuko's face, your heart skipped a beat and was immediately bathed with rainbows and flowers. Nezuko was sleeping like a baby.
Cuteness overload!
Your cheeks reddened as you bit your lip.

You gently put your hand back on Nezuko's small back, making sure she won't wake up. Then, Sabito and Makomo's temari ball rolled to you. It touched your back, and you turned around, only to find the two kids looking at you with a smile. They silently walked towards you, then sat at your side. Sabito at your left, and Makomo at your right. You looked at Sabito, who was staring at the red sun, then to Makomo, who you noticed to have been nodding off as her eyes opened and closed slowly. She was sleepy. Soon, Makomo laid her head on your left thigh, and slept. You turned to Sabito, "are you sleepy, Sabito?"

"I don't usually sleep." He responded. "Are you sleepy?"

You shook, "I usually sleep in the morning."

Sabito turned to you, then averted away to the ground, "the dawn always reminds me of the times Giyuu and I train under the waterfall with Mr. Urokodaki." He spoke, "I want to feel the water again... even though it's so freezing."

You stared at Sabito for a while before you turned to the peaceful scenery in front of you. A small garden with white pebbled floor, accompanied by a small pond. Behind the garden floor, there were big, tall trees where birds love to fly around, and butterflies hovering about the area. The sky was orange, mixed with vermillion red and yellow highlights, and yellow cotton candy-like clouds. The sun was also setting, it should be night-time soon.

"Missing old times, ay?" You spoke, saddened. "Me too... I miss the times I spend with my sisters."

Sabito looked at you, "you have siblings?"

"One little sister, and one adoptive." You answered, "oh, how cute they are... we used to cook sushi and make medicines together. How about you?"

"I just train and play sports games with my best friend, Giyu. But when I have a free time, Giyu and I play board games with Makomo and the other kids while Mr. Urokodaki makes food. He's a teacher and a parent to us all." Sabito turned fully to you, then asked, "miss Kanae, what kind of medicine do you make?"

You contemplated on him, and took around three to four seconds until you finally replied, "it's funny actually..." you spoke, "they are medicines –" you shook, "no – poisons to kill demons."

At that moment, Sabito froze.

"My sisters and I are Pillar ranked, Demon Slayers. Or should I say... I was a Demon Slayer." You continued, "my sister, Shinobu, isn't really good in combat because she was born with lack of strength. She was angry at herself because she couldn't protect the family, while my adoptive sister, Kanao, was the strongest among us."

You looked at Sabito, who was giving you a pitiful look. "I couldn't see Shinobu blaming herself for everything that has happened in the house, so I decided to teach her some skills on toxicology, so that she can make poisons to kill demons." You explained, "but now that I'm a demon, I wonder if she will kill me with the same skill that I gave her. It's ironic, don't you think?"

From Sabito's expression, you knew that he was horrified by your story. He sat closer to you and rested his cold hand on your right shoulder. Wearing an assuring face, Sabito spoke in a serious tone. "She won't kill you." He frowned, "there's no way a human can kill their own family member. Even if they are a Pillar."

Your eyes sparkled, and your heart bloomed. "Thank you, Sabito –"

"RWAAR!" Nezuko jumped from her sleep with pink glowing eyes, looking at the right; the direction to where the Demon Slayer Headquarter was located. Sabito, Makomo, and you startled at Nezuko's sudden behavior. Nezuko increased in size and went back to her original form... or that was what you thought. Nezuko went beyond her original form! She turned into an adult with a horn on her head!

"N-Nezuko?!" You sweated.

Nezuko's bamboo slipped from her mouth, and hung from her neck, revealing her razor sharp fangs. Nezuko glanced at you as she pointed at the mountain. You furrowed your brows and pursed your lips, glaring to where Nezuko pointed. Nezuko was warning you about her brother. Cold air rushed in your skin, and that was only when you sensed that there was something wrong at the Headquarter. You turned to Nezuko, "Tanjirou?"
She nodded.
"Miss Kanae!" Makomo exclaimed, worried, "are you going to fight?!"

"We have no choice, do we?" You frowned as your eyes glowed in purple, resembling Nezuko. Your wings glittered in rainbow, and your hairpins sparkled. "Tanjirou needs our help."
