"Your gonna be late." Jackson yelled from the living room, as I ran around my room like a mad woman getting dressed. "okay, okay I just have to slide my shoes on and we can go." I yelled back hoping on one foot, trying to get my shoe on the other foot.
"Finally" Jack huffed opening.the door for me. "Sorry, I'm not used to having to leave a hour early to get somewhere." "Well you don't wanna.be late for your first day of training do you?" He asked trying to flag down a cab.
"It's not training, its like a internship." I corrected him. I am beyond excited to get to learn from Mario Batali (famos chef), and cook with him.
"Wish me luck." I breathed stepping out of the cab. "You'll be fine, just relax and be yourself, and he'll love you." He smiled, and made me feel a lot better.
I walked into the restaurant doors, and there wasn't anyone there, but I heard people moving around in the kitchen. So I decided to walk to the back. I turned to corner, and ran straight onto a huge stack of plates. I stumbled back, falling on my butt.
The huge pile of plates fell to the ground all around me, breaking like half of them. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I didn't see the plates." I got up apologizing to the man that was pushing the plate part. Then Mario Batali himself came up behind the man.
Great, first thing I do is break his plates, he is gonna hate me now. "I'm so sorry, I did not mean the plates." I apologized, Mr. Batali looked down at the mess and between the cart guy and I, but he didn't look look mad.
"It is okay, what is your name sweetie?" He asked, I sighed in relief. He's probably hiding that it did make him mad, I guess he just looks really intimidating. "Kate" I smiled shaking his hand. "Pleasure to meet you, I imagine your dean told you who I am." "Yes, but I've known about you since I was little Mr.Batali.' I lightly laughed. "Oh just call me Mario." I nodded, maybe this wasn't going to be as scary as I thought.
I watched all the employees work in the kitchen all day, and it was incredible, how they worked together like a machine to get out the food. I learned so much. I still couldn't believe I got this opportunity, and I wasn't gonna do anything to screw it up. By the end of the day my feet were killing me, and I could've passed out from exhaustion. I walked out of the restaurant, and found Jackson waiting like he said he would.
"Hey, how did it go?" He smiled seeing me,and gave me a hug. "I am so tired, but it went great. Except the first thing I did was break a bunch of plates." I half laughed thinking back on it. "Ha nice, you always have been a clouts." He laughed at me once we were in the back of the cab. "Whatever, I'm to tired to fight with you. I just want a shower." "You need help with that?" He smirked. "No thanks." "You sure? I could help you with all those places that are hard to reach." He winked, I just shook my head, and leaned against the window.
*Jack POV*
I looked up from my phone to see we were at her apartment building. She was asleep, so I got out and walked over to her side. I lifted her out, after paying the driver. I carried her through the lobby, and to the elevator which was empty. we started going up, and she began squirming in my arms.
"What's happening?" I heard he mumble, I looked down and she still looked to be asleep, maybe she is sleep talking? "You feel asleep, so I'm carrying you to the apartment." I answered even though I wasn't sure if she was listening. "Awe your so Sweet." she giggles, so she is awake? The she said "I love you, Stiles." right before the doors opened, I slowly walked to her room. I can't believe she just said, I almost dropped her when I heard it.
He hasn't even been calling or even text her hardly since she decided to come here, and she still can't see he doesn't deserve her. The worst part is I watch her act like it doesn't bother her, but I know it does. I would treat her so much better.
