Neither Innocent

"Kate." I heard called from down stairs. "Coming." I yelled back. I came downstairs, to find my aunt standing in our living room. She came up to me giving me a big hug. which I returned. Her and I have become really close over the past couple of days, it felt like she was kinda filling that void I always had not knowing any of my family.

"Would you like to shopping with me today?" She asked smiling. "Would I?" I smiled. "Oh now you've won her heart." My mom giggled, I do love shopping. I should get out the house, and get a couple. of nights ago out of my head...

I heard a knock on my door "come on in" I said expecting Scott with my food, But when it opened I was the very last person I wanted to see right now. But he didn't look normal, almost sick. Like the life had been drained out of him. Him making himself like this isn't going to get me to take him back this time.

"What are you doing here?" I asked softly because he wasn't saying anything. "Can we talk?" He asked slowly, walking into my room. "Yeah I guess we need to." I huffed sitting up off my bed. "Look about Malia.." He started but I interrupted "Don't try to deny it, I saw you with her Stiles." I told him trying to keep it together.

"Kate I'm so sorry, I cant keep hurting you." He whispered, I looked up at him to see him actually crying. "You okay?" I asked getting up and sitting next to him, he never cries. "How can you still care?" He almost laughed, and looked over into my eyes. "So what are you trying to say?" I whispered. "All I want is for you to be happy Kate, but I keep hurting you. You don't deserve that. So I'm gonna leave you alone, so you can be happy Okay? I know this seems kinda backwards because you should me breaking up with me but, I figured it might be easier if I did it." He finished and I couldn't even speak, he's breaking up with me?

He stood up to leave. "So you what you plan on just avoiding me?." "Eventualy maybe not, but yeah pretty much. I don't know what you saw, but just to let you know I didn't fuck her, I couldn't do it." What he didn't go all the way with her? I couldn't either.

"No wait Stiles, I need to.. I tried to tell him about Jack, I'm not innocent in this either. But he stopped me "Please Kate I love you and this is killing me, don't make it any harder. I can't keep doing this to you. They were right I don't deserve you." He poured out, and then hurried to leave...

"See anything you like?" My aunt Claire asked, I had zoned out thinking about everything. "Yeah I might get this top." "You know you remind me so much of your mom."

"Awe really, how?" I asked, and she told me all about her. "But how come none of the family has ever tried to you know find me?" I asked what has always haunted, how come my family didn't want me?

"I just found out about you a month ago dear, because I found a letter your mother hid. Your mom and dad moved when she got pregnant, it was looked down upon by our family and especially people where we are from to be such a young mother. She was only seventeen, and your dad was a little older I think twenty. So they ran, because your dad would've went to jail." She explained to me, and it all started to make sense now.

"Thank you for today aunt Claire." I smiled once we had gotten back home. "Oh your welcome." She smiled and then drove off. She's so nice, even though she thought my tattoo and piercing were wrong. Which only made me think about how the tattoo is incomplete now, without him.

I finally put all my new stuff away, and then Jack came walking in my room. "Ever heard of knocking?" I laughed. "Yeah why?" He chuckled. "What are you even doing here?" I asked shutting my closet. "Well I thought you might wanna talk about the other night." He said in a more serious manner.

"Oh yeah, I'm so sorry Jack. I shouldn't have took advantage of you like that, I was just really upset." I explained. "That's what I figured." He huffed looking down, this is what I was afraid of. "I'm sorry, but you knew we weren't gonna just start being like that." "Yeah I guess, I'll see you." He faked a smile, and turned to leave again.
