Death is inevitable. It happens to everyone eventually, and sometimes it happens to some people a lot sooner than you think. I was on death's door once in New York, they pulled me back from the brink but if Hermione hadn't found me, or took even a minute longer than I wouldn't be here to tell you my story. However, there are some people who aren't as lucky. Like Jason Blossom. With his memorial approaching I knew it was probably a hard time for his sister Cheryl, I couldn't imagine what she was going through. I felt bad for her and a part of me at that point wanted to just let the poor boy Rest In Peace.

Yet there I was in the Blue and Gold office with Kevin, Jughead and Betty recreating the "murder board" that Sheriff Keller originally had in his office. Kevin told us the original was completely trashed.

"Any leads on who did that?" Jughead asked eyeing the board, "Or what they were looking for?"

Kevin shook his head, "Nope, no finger prints. But they stole a bunch of files, background checks, and all the video and audiotapes of police interviews."

I sat there contemplating who it could've been when the door opened showing Betty's friend, Trev. His eyes immediately caught Betty's, "Hey Betty!"

She smiled, "Trev, hi!"

He looked at the rest of us a bit uncomfortable, "Sorry to interrupt..." he wasn't aware what it was he walked in to.

"Oh, no! Uh...it's okay," she quickly shrugged it off, "We were just...uh, working on-"

"Our murder board,"  Jughead finished abruptly and I held in a snort, he looked so jealous.

Trev looked so lost before continuing, "Well, I just wanted to make sure we're still on for tomorrow?"

She nodded and I smirked at her, "Absolutely, it's a date," Kevin looked excited while Jughead looked distressed. I was just trying to hold back laughter, "I mean...." she caught herself, "I'll...I'll see you there. Bye."

Trev looked so happy, it was so cute, "Bye," he bid before walking out.

Betty turned around and Kevin was in her face smirking, "Going on a date with Trev?" He tilted his head to the side, "Does Mama Cooper know about that?"

She scoffed, "I'm not on house arrest."

I gave her a look, "So I'm guessing she's not home?"

Betty went to fight back but I raised a knowing eyebrow and she sighed nodding, "Yeah, she's out of town at a Women in Journalism spa retreat-" she walked back to her desk quickly, "Anyway! It's not a 'date' date."

"You just called it a date," Jughead reminded her.

I nodded, "You said, and I quote, 'it's a date'," I put my fingers up making air quotes.

"That's just my cover. Really, it's an intelligence gathering mission. We should focus on the one thing we have access to that your dad doesn't," she stated looking at Kevin, "The kids at Riverdale," Kevin was just smiling at her not buying her lame excuse, "You know, maybe Trev knows something about Jason he didn't think was important."

I nodded, "Yeah so in conclusion you're going on a date," I shrugged fully aware of the mad look on Jughead's face.

After our meeting we went to the field to meet up with Veronica and Archie, seeing the slight glow radiating off Betty, Veronica was quick to pounce.

"You're positively radiating Nicholas Sparks. Tell me everything about this Trev," she ordered as we sat down by Archie.

"Oh there's nothing to tell. Just one of Betty's sources, there's nothing romantic in the offing," Kevin spoke sarcastically.

My cousin scoffed, "Why is everything weird here? Why can't a date just be a date?"
