Life isn't fair.
Not everyone is born rich or poor, smart or average, a singer or a dancer, strong or weak- and not everyone is lucky.
And this fact loved to wave- no, slap John right on the face.
'Cause if life was ever fair to begin with, he wouldn't be walking at the tail of two large groups of students, each one representing either his past or present, while listening to the tour guide talk about the history of each item or painting they passed in the museum.
To make matters worst, which he didn't think was possible, they were in the New Bostin Museum.
The New Bostin Museum.
Why the students of New Bostin High had to go on a field trip to some place literally ten minutes away from their school, John may never know.
All that he really does know, is that life has a special way of showing that it still likes to play childish tricks on him.
How did he not notice that when he got the letter? Oh wait, he was too busy thinking of what to say to his dad in order to convince him to let him skip this trip.
Needless to say, he was pretty pissed during the whole duration of the tour.
Grumbling certain profanities under his breath, John stuffed his hands in his pockets, keeping his head down while still trying to pay attention to whatever was being discussed.
Feeling a small nudge on his side, he turned to see Claire and Adrion both giving him worried glances. He forced a smile and mouthed, 'I'm fine'.
Due to the fact that he was met with frowns, he was fairly certain that they didn't believe him. The teen sighed and felt his shoulders slump. He wiped his hand over his exhausted eyes and tried to focus.
John felt a push and turned to see a New Bostin student giving him a stony look, which he reciprocated. The New Bostin student took a hold of his arm and dragged him to an empty room, being careful to not be spotted by the tour guide.
Tugging at his arm with great force 'til he was free, John scowled at the student and was about to question him before he was cut off.
"Are you John Doe?" He asked in a serious tone to which John only returned a blank look to.
"No. Now, would you ple-"
"That was a trick question. You're the only one that matches the description of my classmates."
John glared even harder and crossed his arms, giving the NB student the chance to explain himself before John did something irrational.
"Alright, thank you. Before I start, my name's Noah a-" The raven-haired teen held up his hand in a dismissive manner and turned around.
"And I'm out of here." He heard a sigh and glanced at Noah to see him massaging his temples.
"Look, just hear me out." The king gritted his teeth so much that John wouldn't be surprised if he had to see the dentist later on for the tooth ache.
"No thanks. If you're here to just throw unnecessary threats at me then save your energy. I'm not afraid of you. I don't care if you're the king. I'm only gonna participate in this fight to protect one of the only people I actually care about."
Noah's eyes bulged only for a second before it returned to its normal size. He held his hands up innocently.
"Woah, easy mate," John's gaze only became even more hateful, "Jeez. I was just here to wish you luck later on. God knows you're gonna need it."
Then, he smirked.
John had to control every fiber of his being to not lunge at the teen and claw that smile of off his obviously well-taken cared of face. He gritted his teeth and hurried towards the door.
