"Felicia, you've gotta hide us from-a those guards! They-a don't want-a me to become happy!"
"Big Brother! There is-a a little door over there behind-a the closet I use when I want to play outside with cute- little kitty cats! You can-a use it! No one-a knows about it."
Pushing the closet a little to the left, a small door appeared. Antonio and Lovino hurried inside, but the big brother turned back. How could he just leave behind his precious little sister, not old enough to realize all the stuff that is going on at the moment? She must be worried sick about him!
"Felicia, thank you for helping us. Thank you for always being by my side when I needed you the most. You are the best sister I could ask for, even when you can be stupid sometimes. I love you so much, sorellina. Goodbye."
Lovino kissed Felicia's cheeks one last time, then he closed the door behind him.

Felicia may have been young, at the time, but she knew, that her big brother would not be coming back.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Si? Enter!" The little princess said. The door opened and the guard that had chased Lovino and Antonio entered the room. "Please forgive me for disturbing you, Princess, but have you seen your brother? He was with another man and I need to find him, before something happens."
Felicia knew to not blow her brothers cover so she acted clueless.
"I thought-a he was-a on his way to the marketplace-a? I will-a be ready in-a just a few minutes and go down as-a well. Please-a, excuse me." And with that she shooed the guard out of her room. She sighed in relief and went  to get ready.

Dressed in something appropriate for the princess of Hetaland, Felicia stepped out of her room and walked towards the great gate that lead out of her home and castle to the marketplace.
There she saw the most beautiful guard she had ever seen. She must have seemed kinda off, because she only snapped out of her trance when the guard that had been chasing her brother and his lover called out her name.
"Are you all right, Princess Felicia? Don't worry! We will do our best to find Prince Lovino and bring him back here."

"E-ehm... Si, okay. But-a..." the princesses eyes were still glued onto the guard, who had their back turned to Felicia. "Who is-a that...?" She asked the guard next to her. He took a quick look, who the princess was talking about, then answered. "That, young princess, is the captain of your royal guard, Monika Beilschmidt."
Monika suddenly turned around, having heared her name. Time seemed to slow down for Felicia as she watched the captain of the royal guard, step towards them. She was more beautiful than anything the Princess had ever layed an eye upon. She could feel a slight blush creep up her cheeks. Suddenly snapped out of her daze and realised that she had not heared anything Monika had just said. "E-E-Ehm... could-a you please-a repeat that...?" The young Princess asked sheepishly. Monika sighed and repeated: "I said, don't vorry, my Princess. If by my life or death, I can find your brozher, I vill. The royal guard vill make sure he gets back home safely and zhat you and your family stay save as vell."

Felicia was hypnotized by the soothing voice of Monika. The words of the captain of the royal guard were encouraging and full of loyalty towards the kingdom, what made Felicia feel very bleesed to have such a dutiful person by her side. But at the same time she felt very ambivalent. She let her brother escape on purpose to make him happy, because she wanted to see him smile, although she would cause all the people around her many problems, the guards searching for the prince being one of them.
Not to mention all the problems this failed marriage would cause between the two kingdoms.
Felicia didn't even want to know the amount of work her father will have to do.
An angelic voice disrupted her thoughts
"My princess, vould you rather stay in zhe castle today instead of searching for your brother? You seem very tired today. We wouldn't want you to become sick, dear Princess Felicia. I vill escort you back, let me lead zhe way, if I may."

The Princess didn't even have time to answer, before she was gently nudged down the hall and back to her chambers. When Monika opened the door for the Princess, she said "Please, rest. I know it must be hard to have had your brozher gone. I vill inform you if I shall find out anyzhing. Your fazher vill be informed about  the situation. Do not vorry, Princess. Ve vill find him." And with that Monika showed the Princess a small reassuring smile and closed the door, leaving the young Princess stunned.
What had just happened? Not knowing what else to do in this very moment, Felicia let herself fall onto her bed and stared at the ceiling, trying to figure out how do deal with everything.

She did want to help her brother escape safely to a place, where they could live together. She wanted to help him have a nice life without anyone knowing. But how should she achieve that?
It was difficult to lie to her father, the king, as he was skilled in finding out the truth and getting what he wants. Also he might be a good ruler that knows what the kingdom needs, King Romulus was a strict father who expected his children to behave how he wanted them to.
Felicia was very worried for her brother, and now she had another thing to worry about.
She had fallen for the beautiful maiden that went outside few minutes ago. Her wonderful blue eyes, her white and nice skin, her shining, short, blonde hair... the girl just wouldn't leave her mind. Felicia hadn't seen an angel before but if she were to discribe one, Monika was the one she would choose as an example, not that there was another girl, that could match the guard's beauty.
