A few years ago, when her brother was finally old enough, he was first ment to marry one of the princesses from the north. Princess Matlida (Fem Denmark) to be exact. Lovino however was not interested in her. First off, because she was more of a good friend and second he just... felt more attracted to guys. Their father, King Romulus, however would not take a "no" for an answer and soon the wedding was planned. In the night before the wedding, Lovino couldn't sleep. He was too upset and nervous, so he took a stroll down the empty ways of the Kingdom. He arrived at the marketplace, near the church, where he would be wed off the next morning.

Suddenly soft guitar music floated through the air. The young Prince followed it and found it was from one of the musicians, that was ment to serenade the wedding tomorrow. He was sitting there, under a lantern, strumming his guitar. He had tan skin and brown, wild hair. Simply dressed in a loose shirt and pants, but cloths didn't matter. He was breathtaking and Lovino didn't even notice the guitarist looking up at him. He was too lost in his handsome looks.

He didn't notice this handsome man calling out his name and approaching him, being too absorbed in his mind.
Suddenly, the musician stood right in front of him, asking him if he was alright and what the prince of Hetaland was doing here in the night before his wedding.
Lovino, feeling attracted to this good-looking man, started telling him his story about the arranged marriage and how he can't see the princess as a love interest.
Absorbed in telling his story, Lovino didn't see the relieved look on the musicians face.
What the young prince didn't know: the musician, Antonio, had known Lovino for a long time already, he cared for him greatly when he was little, but as they grew up, they were seperated because of their different positions. Antonio knew, that Lovino might have forgotten him, but realizing this did hurt indeed. So when he found out that the marriage of his little Lovino was an marriage without love, he was relieved because that meant he still had a chance to get close to Lovino again.

When the young Prince had finished his story, leaving out the part about finding the guritaist unbelievably handsome, Antonio offered to at least help Lovino escape the dreading thoughts for the 'morrow. At least until the sun was about to rise. Lovino, fascinated with this man and glad to escape his thoughts for one last time, agreed. Antonio smiled and grabbed his hand and began dragging the young Prince throught the streets and out the kingdoms walls, up the hill where there stood a mighty Acorn-tree, spreading his massive leafed wings over the top of the hill. The both played down in the grass and watched the stars, glowing in the sky. Loving was overwhelmed of how beautiful the night-sky was and began smiling for the first time in forever. Antonio began to play a slow, calming song on his guitar and gazed up into the night sky as well, not without throwing a glance or too at Lovino from time to time. The Spaniard knew that he would be in very big trouble if they would ever find out that he had dragged the young prince off, in the middle of the night, but right now in this moment, he did no care. All he cared about was the young Prince next to him.

Lovino, not knowing of the feelings of the musician besides him, kept looking up to the stars listening to the calming music. Wishing this night would last forever.
But soon, the stars started to fade, the sun rose above the horizon and slowly painted the sky red. It was time for him to return to the castle, his personal prison, that would never allow him to feel really free. And in this night, he found out something. He loved Antonio. This handsome musician made him feel so many emotions, emotions he had never known before. The Spaniard just knew what to say or how to comfort him without making him feel stupid and small. He wished they could stay here forever, together, but deep down, he knew this wish couldn't come true, love wasn't something a prince promised to another princess was supposed to feel, especially not when the lover was a man.

Suddenly a wave of sadness overcame the young Prince and he frowned, looking away from the sky and torwads to ground. Antonio had noticed the Princes sudden chance of expression and asked; "My Prince. Are you not feeling well?" He was very concerned for Lovino and grabbed his hand, to show the Prince that he was there for him and that he would listen. Lovino however quickly pulled his hand away, and it hurt both of them. "I... I am-a fine..." Lovino said and avoided looking at the musician. Antonio however knew that he was not and reached for the Princes hand once more, this time, not letting him slip away as he pulled back. "Please, my Prince. I can see that you are very upset and I want to help you. You don't want to attend your wedding tomorrow in a sour mood and scare your soon-to-be-wife, no?" This was the last straw for Lovino. He launched forward and embraced Antonio in a much needed and desperate hug.

His tears started streaming down his adorable little face. Antonio felt his shoulder getting wet but he didn't care. All he did was whispering sweet nothings into his love's ear and petting Lovino's head to calm him down. After some time, Lovino fell asleep in the musicians arms, with a small smile on his lips. Antonio couldn't hold back his feelings anymore and whispered a quiet "Te amo" in Lovino's ear, before he brought Lovino back to the castle, not much time was left till the guards would start searching for the prince.
It was a wonderful, dream-like night for the two of them, both knowing that this wasn't supposed to happen...
