Narrator POV

A man with sunflower blond hair, golden eyes, and dressed in tattered clothing raced his way to a dark alley. Carrying nothing but a small portion of food. He could hear the angered voices behind him getting closer and closer. Just keep running! You're almost there! "You there! Stop right where you are!" Boomed an extremely intimidating sound from behind. Dammit! A hero. The poorly washed man slowly turned around and put his hands up in the air where the hero could see them. "Heh. Stealing from a local supermarket and the illegal use of quirks? You are truly the definition of evil, villain."
"Please! You don't understand! My family! My wife! My son! My mother! We need this food to survive!" The man pleaded.
The hero laughed maniacally as the man flinched in place. "Did you really think I'm that stupid to believe such an idiotic story as that? HA! Save it for the judge, criminal." As the flaming hero walked closer towards the man, he released a great wave of electricity, shocking the hero and bringing him to the ground.
Curse you Endeavor. I never wanted to do this, but if it means my family's survival, I'll do whatever it takes. The man thought to himself as he sprinted away from the no°2 hero.

"Chinatsu! Denki! Mother! I'm back!" The tattered man called out into a poor one room apartment. The furniture looked like it had been tarnished. Which in fact it was. There seemed to be something boiling in a pot over a nearly broken stove. And 3 beds. One of which was holding a sickly elderly woman with deathly pale wrinkled skin, gray-white hair that was withering away, and dull honey eyes.
"Welcome home Genkei." Said a woman who was playing with a child. The woman looked around her late-twenties, early thirties. Her hair was a jet black, her eyes were a darkened yellow, and she was dressed in some worn-out clothes. The child looked around 4 or 5 years old. He had a mixture of his father's sunflower hair, and his mother's jet black hair as a black lightning bolt on the left side. And he obviously had his mother's darkened yellow eyes. His clothing looked similar to a toddlers. But the red t-shirt he was wearing became old and worn out. His khakis looked like pants like those from a stranded on an island movies. And the only thing he had on his feet, were some battered up sandals.
"Welcome home, my son." The elderly woman said cheerfully. The little boy ran up to the man with big open arms. "DADDY!" The little boy exclaimed. The child, known as Denki, noticed some fresh new food in his fathers arms. "What's for dinner Daddy?" The little boy asked excitedly. "Well, it's not much. But, I did manage to scrap by with some beans and some easy cook ramen. It won't taste very good without the right ingredients though."
"That's fine Genkei." Chinatsu replied.
A violent and deadly cough came from the elderly woman's bedside. Genkei walked over to the woman's bedside and rested his hand on her bony decaying structure. "It's not much mom. But, I did manage to scrap by with some extra beans for you, Mom." The woman's laugh was soft but kind. It was the type of laugh that could put your soul at ease. "No need to worry about me Genkei. I'm a fighter." The grandmother said confidently, "If I'm able to give birth to a troublemaker like you, and help you raise a beautiful family, surely I can get through a little cough." She said. "Granny? Can I sleep next to you again tonight?" Denki asked. His grandmother laughed. "No need to ask me sweet grandson of mine. You're more than welcome to sleep next to me."
********************************

The next morning, Genkei was about to leave for his normal morning food run. "Daddy? Can I come with you?" Denki asked timidly. He knew these runs were dangerous. With the police and heroes running about, but, he wanted to help his father grab a little extra food today.
His father smiled as he bent down and rubbed his sons head. "That depends. What does your mother think?"
"I think it's a wonderful idea. We'd be lucky enough to scrap up some extra food." His mother giggled. "What about you mom?"
No answer.
"Mom?"
No answer.
"Mom."
Still no answer. Genkei rushed over to his mother's side and tried to shake her awake. No response.
Denki didn't want this reality to be true. He had heard of people dying before. But, he didn't think much of it. But now that it was happening to him. Now that his grandmother was holding onto dear life by her pinky finger, he didn't want it to be real.
The little boy rushed out of the door and onto the busy sidewalk filled with people of all sorts. He'd never been to the outside. He's only been around the dark alleyways to hide from society's snooty eyes.
The boy cried. Pleaded that someone who had a kind enough heart to help heal his dying grandmother. "Please! Anyone! Help me! My Granny's dying! I just need someone! Anyone!" He pleaded. The child was on the verge of tears when suddenly, something caught his attention.
A grown man in a flashy suit that everyone cheered for. A hero! They're good. They help people. Maybe he can help Granny. He tried to grab the heroes attention anyway he could. But they completely ignored him. As if he didn't matter to them.
