Midoriya POV

It's been a couple of days since that special meeting. Mr. Aizawa had told us that our parents have been informed on the information given to us and had increased their security ten-fold. The atmosphere that had once felt light and cheery at the beginning of the year, was now tarnished by fear, worry, distrust, and the dying breath of hope.

  Narrator POV

As of right now, the students have been placed in the dorms.

"So, today is a pretty big day for you students. Today is the day you take your provisional license exam." Aizawa stated exhaustively as his eccentric class cheered. I've already informed the League on this. If I'm not mistaken, Toga should've already done her duty by now. You mean injuring a student from another school just so that you can feel better about yourself. Oh, shove it in a can. I could care less. "This is an extremely important exam. It's the day you may or may not get your official hero's license. Which also means, you're one step closer to becoming pro heroes."

The day of the Provisional Hero License Exam has come. Class 1-A arrive at the exam site, Takoba National Stadium. "Woah! This place is huge!" Kaminari said to himself. It's a good thing I updated my costume. Yeah. Now, you'll be at an advantage. Plus, it adds a bit of villainy to it. Shut up.
****************************

"Hey. Toga. Did you get it?"
"Yup. I've got it."
"Good. By the way, you didn't kill them, did you?"
"Who? That girl from Shiketsu? What was her name again? Camie? Of course not. I mean, as much as I wanted to, I didn't wanna raise suspicion. I just left her unconscious. That's all."
"Good. Make sure you go tell Shigaraki the plan for later on this week."
"Why? What's going on this week?"
"I'll tell you later. I've gotta go now.
"Aw man. Well, alright."
***************************

Three days had gone by after the PLE (Provisional License Exams). Bakugo and Todoroki didn't pass. Which caused them to fall behind a bit.
After an exhausting day at the USJ, Kaminari had finally decided it was time. The students were allowed to take their costumes off once they were all inside the dorms. So, he decided to seize the moment as soon as possible.
Behind the class, he let Jirou walk ahead of him and sped up to catch Midoriya. Who was walking with Uraraka and Iida. Here goes nothing. So, you finally ready to expose yourself as the poser you are? A fake friend perhaps? I don't need you messing this up. I'm finally ready to leave this place. It's screwed with my head enough times. I'm ready to go back home.
He had finally caught up to Midoriya and gathered up all of his thoughts. "Hey, Midoriya? Can I talk to you for a sec?" He asked. 'Oblivious', Midoriya turned around and agreed. "Midoriya?" Iida questioned. "I'll catch up with you later. So, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" He asked. What am I doing? I can't do this. Just get it over with, they're already here. You aren't gonna push it back any further. I know that! But...He's my friend. Yeah. 'Friend'. Okay buddy. Say what you want. "...I've been planning on saying this for a while now. Unfortunately, I could never come to terms with myself. The League of Villains. They.....I-I.....I'm the UA traitor." There it is. The Big Bang! The Big Ol' Whopper! You've got guts kid. Didn't know you had 'em.
Izuku looked at his friend in concern and wondered, Is he telling the truth? Is he actually the UA traitor? No. He has to be lying. Maybe he's just joking.
Meanwhile, the rest of the students slowly walked ahead of them. Remembering the meeting and what the teachers had said. "We want Kaminari to reveal himself."
"I wonder what Kaminari wanted to talk to Deku about?" Uraraka asked herself. "Yeah. Wonder what was so important?" Kirishima wondered. It wasn't long until he noticed Bakugo and Todoroki falling not too far behind the class. As much as he didn't want to believe it, they had to keep a low profile. "Hey! Bakugo! Todoroki! You guys coming or what?!" He called out to them. "Yeah. We'll be with you guys in a minute." Todoroki viscously said. Still eyeing at Midoriya and Kaminari.
Midoriya was still in shock from what he had just heard. "...Hey now. Don't say that. It's been a long week. You're just tired. That's the battle fatigue talking, right?" Midoriya asked. Kaminari's eyes widened as the words came out of Midoriya's mouth. Yeah...Battle Fatigue...This idiot has absolutely no idea. I'm so sorry Midoriya...You were just a pawn to our little game. "Yeah...that's it. I'm just tired."
"Plus, even if you were the traitor, what did you expect me to do? Say 'Alright'? Let our classmates be killed?"
Dark stormy clouds started to form over UA. A storm was coming. A storm that'll crush your heart into a million pieces. As the wind started to increase, a medium sized branch snapped from a nearby tree and fell onto the sidewalk. In between Midoriya and Kaminari and the rest of the students. "It's a good thing that branch didn't hit any of us." Sero said relieved. "Seems like a storms coming."
"Well then, we had best get inside quickly." Mineta and Iida said.
Is...Is he serious? Who are you? Who am I? Who the hell am I?! Am I a hero? Am I a villain? "So...That's how it is, huh? All this time...I've spent almost an entire year here in this madness. And for what?! I was a kid! I didn't know any better. I didn't know jack shit!" Kaminari yelled. His mind had completely split into two. The extremely vivid line between right and wrong was blurred. Nothing made sense anymore. He didn't even know who he was anymore.
Meanwhile, Bakugo and Todoroki tensed up their muscles. They were ready to bring this traitor, this 'classmate', down.
"Who the hell cares about what's right or wrong anymore in the god forsaken mess! As a warrior, NO ROAD LEFT BUT THE ONE THAT LEADS TO THE END!"
This is was it. This was the real Denki Kaminari. Not a hero. Not a student at UA. And certainly not a member of Class 1A. A villain. His true nature had finally been revealed.
Bakugo was the first to charge towards the traitor and his rival, Midoriya. "I KNEW IT!" He yelled as he pinned Kaminari to the ground. Iida came to Deku's rescue and grabbed Midoriya by the collar of his hero costume and ran back to the group. "EVERYONE STAND YOUR GROUND!" Todoroki ordered. The pressure was on. They had fought each other before. But that was training. This...Now, they would have to fight their own classmate who was a traitor. If they could even call him their classmate.
Kaminari was pinned to the ground by the one and only Katsuki Bakugo. An angered kids hand on his face. Ready to explode at any moment. "So, you really thought we were that stupid. Didn't you Dunce Face?" Bakugo mocked. But Kaminari could see it. He could see how much Bakugo was hurting. He knew how much wanting to do this pained Bakugo. But, Kaminari couldn't let up. Shit! He's gonna blow my face apart! The traitor gripped onto Bakugo's wrist, electrocuted Bakugo to the point where he was unable to move for a bit, and kicked him off.
As Shoji and Kirishima rushed to Bakugos aid, Yaoyorozu created a cannon to stop Kaminari in his tracks. The amount of speed she used to activate was incredible. Almost beautiful, really.
Kaminari quickly sat upright without knowing the cannons activation. Adrenaline was pumping through his body which made him less aware of the ammo aiming right towards him. Not what I expected them to do! Why am I doing this? I hurt Bakugo! I could've killed him! His eyes started to well up with tears as he started to stand up. The only person who noticed was the love of his life. Kyoka Jirou. Is...Is he crying? Then, this is obviously a joke gone wrong.
Suddenly, out of no where, as the ammo Yaoyorozu had created aimed for Kaminari's head, a massive cloud of scorching blue flames appeared. And that only meant one thing. Dabi. Shoji launches himself in front of class and blocked them from the flames.
Soon the flames disappeared. The back of his hero costume was almost completely burned off, but that didn't matter to him. As long as his classmates were alive, that's all that mattered. "Is everyone okay?" He asked. "Ribbit. We're fine. Thanks Shoji."
"Don't thank me yet Tsuyu."
A familiar man walked out from the trees. And he looked all too well. "Welp. We're here. Just like you asked Charge Bolt." The man said, "To be honest, we were gonna take him peacefully. And we still plan on doing that. That is if you all play by the rules." He threatened. It was plain and simple. 'You attack us, you die.'
"Well done Charge Bolt. You really did it. You finally told these UA brats your little secret." Dabi stood in front of Kaminari. As if he was protecting him. "Hey Blood Sucker. You can come out now. They know now." He called to the trees.
Soon, a familiar psychotic face popped out from the trees as she skipped happily along towards Dabi and Kaminari. "Aw man! I really wanted to do some killing today!" She complained. "Hey Metal Face. Get the hell outta my way so that I can blow this traitors face up." Bakugo hissed as he readied his explosions. Kaminari could understand his anger. He had just lied to his entire class for almost an entire year. Even if he had the chance, he knew they wouldn't forgive him. He didn't expect them too.
"Tch. You brats are supposed to be the smartest in the school, right? I thought you would've known by now. Kaminari isn't a traitor. He's always been on our side from the beginning. Besides, we may be a villains, but unlike you spoiled rats, we look out for our own." They couldn't believe what they had just heard. He was never one of them. He had never been.
Kaminari hung his head low in shame. He couldn't even try to hide it. He was an abomination to UA.
Soon, Kurogiri appeared and created a portal for the villains. "Alright Kaminari. Let's get going. Crusty Hand Man doesn't like it when we're late." Dabi said as Kaminari stood up. As he and the villains were about to walk through the portal, the sounds of footsteps and a clogged throat spoke. "Hey...Kaminari...This...This is a joke...right?" Jirou... "Jirou! Stay back!" Hagakure warned. But Jirou didn't listen. She wanted to know the truth. She wanted this to be fake. It was a long shot, but, at least she would know. "I mean, you wouldn't really be sided with the villains. Right? Please...tell me this a joke. You and I...we love each other. Remember? Please don't tell me that was fake love. Please don't." What am I supposed to say? Say that you've loved her from the start. No! No! You've never loved her. She was only there to help you reach your goal. I'm so confused! "...I...I'm sorry Jirou...but....I don't think I've ever loved you." With those final words, the villains left the students.
The heavy wind had stopped. But the scent of disbelief still lingered in the air.
Aizawa rushed over to his students. Hoping that they were all alive and well. Physically they were all fine. Only Bakugo suffered from a few scratches here and there that could easily be fixed. And Shoji's costume had a couple of burn marks from Dabi's flames. It's a miracle that his clothes were still in tact.
But there was a scar that could never be fixed. Not even a scar. An emotional gash that would last forever. "What the hell happened?!" Aizawa cried. Bakugo stood up and wiped his mouth with his wrist after being thrown off of...him. "Kaminari happened." He said sounding extremely hurt.
EraserHead cursed under his breath. "So, we were right. He was the traitor."
"But why? Why would he do something like this?" Ashido and Iida said.
Uraraka turned to Jirou as she was on all fours staring at the pavement. "Hey Jirou? Are you gonna be okay?" She asked. A few seconds later, she laughed. She was laughing hysterically. It was almost frightening. As a matter of fact, it was.
Her classmates worried for her as she continued laughing. "Jirou?"
"How could I have been so stupid?! Believing that he actually loved me?! Thinking that he cared for me?! I was so stupid!" She yelled. Soon, the laughter died down, and tears began to fall. The 1A girls rushed over to their crying friend and hugged her so tight as she continued to cry.
As the tears of man fell, so did the tears of the sky.
"Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do as of right now. Sooner or later, the news of Kaminari will be all over. The staff and I will try to keep this under wraps for as long as possible. As of right now, I want all of you to go back to the dorms and stay there until further notice. That's an order."
"Yes, sir." The class said in unison.

Here's the sad truth.

Not all stories end in Happily Ever After.

The hero doesn't always get the girl.

The hero, might not be a hero at all.

The villain will always find a way to come back stronger than before.

"The moral of this story is that no matter how much we try, no matter how much we want it...some stories just don't have a happy ending."- Jodi Picoult
