Breakfast and Fun

Lillie's POV

I woke up earlier than everyone else so I got out of bed and started getting ready. While I was brushing my hair, Someone opens the door. It's was our butler Hobbs. "Ah, master Lillie, I see you're finally awake. You're mother asked me to see if you wanted to help her make breakfast? It's been awhile since she made anything and you'd be a great help to her." I nod to Hobbs as I finish brushing. Mother isn't as great at cooking as she is with handling a business, so I usually help her. "I'll be right down there. Is Gladion going to help too?" Hobbs shakes his head. "No, master Gladion is still asleep and miss Lusamine told me to not bother if he had a certain guest in his quarters..." Moon must be up there with him. I screech internally. They're finally getter closer! I open the door and start going down the steps.

I see the photo again, and I feel my heart sink. I hope he's still alive... I miss him dearly. I get to the kitchen and I force a smile on my lips. I see mother trying her best to make waffles, but she's making a mess everywhere. She sees me and starts walking towards me, batter in hands. "Lillie! You're finally here! We're gonna have so much fun, just the-WOAH!" mother tripped on some spilt batter and fell on her knees. I rush over to her immediately. "MOTHER?! Are you okay?" Surprisingly, she starts giggling. She looks like she's having fun and it makes me start to giggle too. Our giggling turns into laughter and after catching our breath, I helped her clean up and make another batch.

While we're stirring, we chat about various topics and then out of nowhere we start talking about crushes. "So Lillie, have you had any feelings for everyone? I know Gladion has Moon but what about you?" I freeze up and immediately think about Hau. "Uh, no, I don't think so..." I stutter. Mother smiles. "Aw, my whittle baby has a crush! Who is it? Is it that Kiawe boy? Ash? Or maybe even a girl..." My entire face turns red. "NO!!! There's just my friends, none of them I like romantically." Mother gives me a reassuring nod. "Ah, so it's Hau then." I gulp. She got it exactly on point. Should I tell her? "I guess? I'm not sure myself. He has a cute smile, really nice, and brave. He's one of my bestest friends, yet I feel... wrong to like him. What if he doesn't like me back? I don't want our friendship to be awkward..." Mother puts down the mix and gives me a hug. "It'll be fine, I was just like that when I met your father. Now come on, the mix should be ready, right?" I smile and start putting the pancake mix in the pan. The scent of pancakes fills the kitchen and drifts to the other rooms. I start getting the toppings out knowing that they'll come down here soon.

3rd person POV
Hau, Moon, and Ash immediately woke up, and had one thing in mind.
"I  s m e l l  p a n c a k e s."

Moon's POV
Even though the first thing I thought of was pancakes, memories from last night rushed through. Even though I cried yesterday, I felt... good. I smile and get out of bed.
Wait.
This isn't the guest room bedroom. It wasn't the usual white sheets. Instead it was a black sheets, and a nice scent of lavender. Only one edgelord has this much black in his room. I look over each side and see him laying on the floor with a makeshift bed, clutching his pillow like a baby. He looked so adorable, so I didn't wake him. But I did take a photo of him and reached over to the other side, which had a Poké Ball and a note.

Moon,
There were three type; Nulls made in the Foundation, and the other two need good trainers, so I'm entrusting this one to you. I hope you can give him as much love as possible. I hope you feel better.

I blush and walk to the door. As I was about to "get out", as Gladion would use to say, I look at my shirt. It'd had tear and snot stains for last night. I forgot to bring extra clothes so I looked around and saw an extra sweater exactly like Gladion's. I guess he must have a ton of these huh? I'm sure he wouldn't mind me taking one... I slip off my gross shirt and put on his sweater. His lavender cologne smells amazing. Not too strong yet enough where I can smell it.
