Chapter 14:I can't let that Happen!

(Y/n)'s pov:

No it couldn't be...

Abe?!

"W-Who is this?" I ask, just to make sure... "Oh, it's your friend... guess who?" his voice asked. I thought for a bit, but then I answered his question, "Is t-this A-Abe?" I asked. I heard him laugh softly, "Y-You guess right, haha, how do you feel (Y/n) about today?" he asked me, now he was next to me, facing me. I felt my face warm up, but I could tell my face didn't show it, "U-Umm, yes, w-wait, how did you get here?" I asked him, his eyes wandered off to the ground, "Well... let's just say my mom asked the school for a chance... it was not easy, but we manged" he said.

"Ohhhh, I see now, well did you move here?" I asked him, he nodded.

Then I heard a voice stutter, "(L-L/n)... I think we should listen to w-what Kachaan is about to say..." I heard Midoriya say. I nodded and everyone was silent, just waiting for Bakugou to start saying the pledge.

"I pledge-- That I'll be number one" Bakugou spoke out, but he did it very calmly... once he did say those words, everyone in my class yelled out that they knew he'd say that. Everyone around us started to boo him, and stuff.

He finally got off the stage but I saw that Iida was trying to accuse him for what he had done back in the class... where the huge crowd of students stood.

I saw Baukgou's eyes wander off to me... then to Abe... he was right behind me, then his face turned a bit angered. Then I saw him walking past Midoriya, and then I could see that they both bumped shoulders. "Are you okay, Midoriya-kun?" I asked Midoriya. He turned to me and as soon as he did, his face was red, "Y-Yeah! I-I'm okay...! H-How about y-you?" he asked me, I laughed a bit and nodded, "Yeah... I'm okay, haha" I said.

Midnight wiped her wip, and said out loud, "Now, let's get started right away. The first game is what you'd call a qualifier! Every year, many drink their tears here! Now, here is the first fateful game!" she said and then as soon as she wiped her whip, a screen popped up and it did take a spin.

"This year is..." she continued.

"... this!" She finally said.

The spin had said, 'Obstacle race' , and as soon as it did, I thought about how much of my stamina would this take? I know i'd have to make it for sure! I want to be number one! And n-now that A-Abe is here... I have to prove to him that I could do it! And that he also could as well!!!

"All 11 classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this statium-- about four kilometers! Our school's selling point is freedom! As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do!" She said, with her hands out.

"Now, take your places everyone!" She said. We all turn to where she pointed at, and there were three lights on the top, so we all went there.

Now... all we have to do is just wait for it to start!

One light flashes...

I felt a sweatdrop on my head, flowing down to my cheeks.

"(Y/n), it's going to be okay, you can do this" I heard Abe say to me, he had put his hand on my shoulder, I felt my face heat up a, "T-Thanks!" I stuttered out. "No problem" he said back.

I looked at him and smiled, he looked back and smiled back.

I looked back to where the lights were at, and another one blinked, that means... there's only one more left.

I can do this...!

And then...

The final lights blink...
